  • What's that thing called that you used to flatten out the dough?

  • @buttaluv10

    Hi

I am using rolling pin and board to flatten. Enjoy!

  • Bhavnaji, your recipe has been excellent. We tried it today and it turned out very nice. Thanks and best of luck for posting more such videos. They are informative, easy to make, and use all home based ingredients.

You most welcome. Very glad to hear that it turned out good for you...

  • Hi Bhavana....Thanks for pointing me to your Gujarati Daal and Daal Dhokli Recipes which indeed are already there on you channel.

As a Kid I always wondered what the diamond shapes were made of.They absorb the daal and completely become yellow and it's impossible for a kid to tell that they are made from good old atta. Now thanks to you one more child hood food mystery is solved for me.

btw, how do we know if the dhokli is cooked in the dal? how long do we cook on medium flame once we add the dhokli?

  • @techiedkb

    Hi

You have to actually taste to find out if it is cooked properly or not. Enjoy!

  • @techiedkb

    Hi

It took about 15 min once I added all dhoklis into pot. But timings may vary due to many factors so you have to actually taste to find out if it is cooked or not. Enjoy!
