  • id give u half a fail

becus the efects were ok enofe

  • nice effects apart from the area and the guy with glasses..looks like a retard

  • many thing bad about this video

1 why the fuck would two jedis try to kill each other?

2 a jedi cant shoot lightning

and 3 why would they battle at such a crappy place?

    still, cool vid.

  • wtf man? do u know nothing about star wars? The guy with the purple light sabre was prolly a sith. jedi aren't the only ones that wield light sabres noob.

  • @mumble12354 1: the blue saber is a jedi, the red saber is a sith

2: the SITH is shooting lightning.

3: This isn't to be taken as actual cannonical material.

    4: grow a brain

    5: profit

  • that was so awesome that looked so real

  • jedi in a crappy estate love it!

  • Not bad at all. A great first video. Nice sound and decent Force lightning. 5/5

  • the moves of the guy with the glasses looks like a video game

  • Savy

  • hmmm....levaithan6321. wasn't that the ship that captured Revan , Carth, and Bastila in Knights of the Old Republic 1? Cool video.

  • Fantastic. How was this done? Where are you in the UK?

  • We're in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. See the video description for the software we used to make this.

  • Impressove special effects, but your lightsaber skills need work. They lack finese and grace, you were just doing the same moves over and over. I reccomend you try using Count Dooku's lightsaber, it teaches you elegance, balance and equality.

  • Yeah we know, we ain't real Jedi :(

  • f u c k i n g retards!, omg get laid

  • How ironic. My girlfriend loves my lightsaber.

  • how did u do those spfx. Plz tell me

  • We rotoscoped it all. See the video description for the software we used to make this.

  • Dunno how you couldn't love that: Dan was smokin' (literally)!!

  • gayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!

  • i have better lihgtsabers skills than that

  • I cant ever find out a way to do it with Adobe Premiere Elements is there a way with that?

  • I haven't actually tried Premiere Elements, but if you can export a video to a filmstrip file format you should be able to use it. You will definitely need Adobe After Effects or Photoshop too though when it comes time to rotoscope the sabers in.

  • it was like seen two barbies fighting with lightsabers xD

  • Sabers de-ignite after the jedi/sith dies ;O

  • Yeah I have an idea how to do that, but it wouldn't be easy. it's on my list of things to try when I make another one of these. If it makes you feel better, you could say that the guy who got beaten wasn't quite dead, just badly wounded and is hanging onto his saber until the very last moment.

  • I guess that works =/. But that would mean a sequel.

  • That was unbelievably horrible.

  • Not as unbelievably horrible as your (non-existent) videos. Don't criticise until you can do better. Or at least until you can do something.

  • You guys suck!

    You faggits!

  • booooooooooo!

  • This makes me sad inside :(

  • Pretty good for your first attempt!! Never mind the gay stuff, they're just jealous. Lightsaber evny, ya know?

  • the fighting is gay u guys suck

  • im sorry, but the guy with the blue lightsaber is definatly gay right? he jumpeed like a little fairy. also at the beggining he walked through it about five times

  • wat program did u use

  • Read the description above. Thanks.

  • Well..nt guys but like...why are 2 Jedi Gaurdians fighting eachother...lol next time try to like make a sith and a Jedi

  • you move like you're gays...

  • after affects kiks ass hav u tried out the 300 effect?

  • hey nice work, is the program u use for the lightsaber effects adobe premiere or wat can anyone help me

  • Yeah we used Adobe Premiere and rotoscoping in Adobe Photoshop for the effects. Check the movie description. :-)

  • How did you make the light saber using adobe premiere? I use photoshop. If you want to find out how just pm me. I would also like to know how you did it with premiere.

  • I used premiere to export the avi video file as a filmstrip file, so that it would load in photoshop for the rotoscoping and then recompiled it in premiere as an avi. I used premiere to add the lens flares when the sabers connected, and I used an after effects plugin for premiere 6.5 to make the force lightning, but you are right, most of the hard work was done in photoshop.

  • Watch Ryan vs dorkman it is way better than this!

  • I agree

  • what is audacity and what is it for in the video?

  • Audacity is a freeware audio editing program, I used it to arrange the soundtrack

  • Hahaha, cute

  • I like it, nice one

  • HAHAHAHAHA the dude in the turtle neck looks retarded...

    hope its not you....

    anyway, gj dude nice spfx!

  • I thought this wasn't bad at all, considering if I made a lightsaber fight (which I want to) it would probably be a lot less cooler than this.

  • It was pretty good when you think about it.

  • not bad effort, i sympathise im called Dan and my mates called Jon and were working on a bit of a Star wars spoof, though we use brass poles garden chairs and bread sticks not just lightsabers.

  • Not a bad try I guess?

  • cool video but can someone tell me where I can get the sith lightning effect??? Pleeeeease!!!!

  • if you wanna see sum proper light sabre moves drop by my page!

  • whoever's wearing the brown sweater . . . you're gay

  • okok like i nob i once again didnt read you profile for the vid, whats audacity? is it like after effects

  • did you use after effects for those sabres?

  • not bad, a bit more action would be betteer!

  • BEEP BEEP BEEP NERD ALERT

  • what a shame

  • Where do you get hte Light Saber Effects from? i'd really like to know.

  • omg the sounds all wrong and trhey cant fight

  • thous guys are B.I.G geeks lol

  • That wasn't too hot, no, but it's certainly not as bad as some of these comments make it sound. It looks like you guys had fun, and that's the most important thing. Something you should try next time is rehearse the choreography more - actually aim for your opponent instead of his blade. And try not to repeat the same moves over and over again. Best of luck for your future projects :)

  • Oh, and btw, feel free to drop a comment on my lightsaber duel - it's available here on youtube :)

  • this is what it would look like if two fags fought each other in star wars

  • lol amen

  • I loved the force lightning :-D

  • i actually hate, EVERYONE who has commented this video

    seriously

i now want to slit my wrists

  • kewl worth watchin'

  • I like it. You lose, Dan. Or is it Jon?

  • Great video I missed the spurty blood though !!

  • the combos are really easy for that movie

  • man that was good enough, i mean it caught your attention for 43 sec did it not? Imnot going to get into choreography and all that crap cuz the lightsaber FX are cool enough.

  • incredibly lame, but nice effects

  • good work. I know how long that stuff takes. Rotoscoping sucks but its the only way!

  • what program was used?

  • Haha Awesome! what did you use to animate it?

  • It was cool, people just make fun of it but they cant even make a video like that.

  • u wasted 43 seconds of your life

  • you guys fucking suck. go kill yourselves

  • that was cool

  • LOL Yeah did you see how the guy on the left paused and waited for the other to show, FAG WARs but Nah its cool the lightning was hot.

  • OMG FAG WARS!!!

  • lol

  • nice! i have some saber tests myself! thy shalts check them out ^^

  • good job mate!

  • theyre nerds and too slow.

  • that was kind of funny

  • sorry guys, but after watching ryan wieber's work, this looks like kid stuff. bad choreography, bad saber effects, bad actors... just bad. i admire your attempt, but... make it a look a bit more polished next time.

  • this was too short!!! the Lighting force was badass!

  • it's a storage biz, not for parking cares.

  • FX? VISIONLAB?

  • We used Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop for the FX

  • plz tell me wat editing software u used

  • We used Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop for the editing

  • HOLY CRAP! those guarges are small... what cars do yall park in them?

  • hehe. English cars.

  • funny smoking flesh at the end

  • pretty sweet.

  • it was funny

  • i agree with CPF nice lil smoke bit from the wound lol :P really good :D keep it up i didnt know garages were in space :P:P:P

  • ok good effort i guess, but if you guys wanna see a truly amazing fan film that SURPASSES the actual star wars films, search 'art of the saber' on youtube. you wont b sorry

  • lol! that was horrible!

  • plz tell me witch software your using... and where tutorials are found

  • Both of these questions have already been answered above. Thanks!

  • how do u do the force lightning?

  • Not bad. The animation was good, but you should work at the Choreography.

  • It wasnt that bad, actually pretty decent for a first attempt. Effects and sound were decent. Of course, the coerography wasn't the best, but it wasn't as bad as some thought or really horrible or anything. Contrary to popular opinion, I actually liked the ending. It was anti-climactic and different from your typical star-wars fight. Besides, folks, He didn't die just then, he was still alive, and probably still gripping his saber, so don't say it had to turn off.

  • A simple and good piece of work, yet ending could have been better. 3 Stars.

  • umm, i think you need to take notes from the HO BROTHERS... 'the art of the saber'. This is not really pleasing to the eye

  • I thought this was pretty good, i've done my own short video of lightsaber effects using LS Maker and even with that it still takes a very long time to put together 10 seconds worth about 2 hours work. Keep it up

  • I thought that that was coriographed (?) really well. I liked the whole big flash whenever the light sabres (?) hit...

Oh yeah... i recon you should have chopped him in half at the end.

  • For Gods sake people, it does say it was their first attempt!!! I think you done a good job, me and a mate are just putting a few things together using Adobe After Effects Pro. Software was expensive put effects look good!

    Nioe work boys!

  • i reckon the effects were decent. But you're not very skilled actors...sorry. Keep working on it, wasn't too bad.

  • It must have been awesome for the people looking out there windows thinking look at them two, playfighting with sticks....LOL. Awesome stuff

  • No offence but most of the time the light saber battle looked like to kids playing with blunt swords.

  • Looks like they used adobe premiere elements for the effects

  • that sux so much ass

  • lightning was kool, but the coreography sucked

  • It looks like the program they used to edit this is probably using adobe premier to put it into a film sequence then edited every single frame which is the slow way to do it... it also isnt very accurate as you can see the lightsabre doesn't move smoothly...

The program Ryan Webier uses (I assume) is Adobe After Affects, a high quality program that creats blockbuster style visual effects.

  • why should I?

    I got nothing to prove

I don't care if you say that I'm better than you

I just saying that you should practice more OR organise a more original choregraphy

However the special effects are good

  • hey what program did you use for special effects?

  • FXhome, Effects Lab Pro, is what I use to make effect movies such as...

  • I like real swoirdsfights better

    Lightsabers are too unreal

and it would have been better if you had both real swordskills

and before you come with the:" try to do better!" sh**

I can say without boasting that I am far better than this!

  • So you say, then why not show us your awesome skill?

  • lol did you guys see the cute little steam coming from his stomach

  • awww...two gay lovers fighting to the death...at a storage facility...sweet!

  • Hey Guys, this is totaly awsome! My friends and I have started making random fight movies with sticks and stuff to put on you tube. We are filming a few more but then our next plan is make a lightsaber fight movie and I would love to know what programs you would advise using. Any help you can give us would be awsome. Btw u just cant help laughing at the stupidity of the people who say things like "eeehh lightsabers arnt real" Dude u guys rock!!!

  • how the fuk do u make it look like ur playin with a light sabre

  • toyakos

  • Thanks for pointing that out, we honestly hadn't noticed. I'd been looking in the shops for weeks and now, thanks to your comment, I know why I've never found one. What an insightful person you are. Thanks again for your words of wisdom.

And if you want to know what that "eye of the beholder" comment means, I'm sure your mummy or daddy would be happy to explain it to you :-)

  • You call us nerds when the only movie you have is some random anime music video? I actually quite liked your video. Why try to upset people though? Cool, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. And lightsabers are cool.

  • Also, your flashes have lens flares in them and that is a bit distracting. I can't really comment on the force lightning because I have yet to attempt it. Overall, good work. Keep at it.

  • Yeah I hate the flashes too.

  • Pretty decent, but there are some flaws. The biggest one I noticed was the blue saber jumping around a bit in the beginning. My other big problem with this is the contact flashes. They're just too big. Usually you will want a smaller flash and only use really big flashes when the sabers clash very hard and usually it will be in a longer sequence of hits.

  • yeah, the blue saber jumps because we simply couldn't see where the original stick was when we drew in the sabers frame by frame, so we just guessed. and yes, I hated the lens flares too but I couldn't find a different way of doing it. I have got a better method now, though. If we ever make another one I'll make sure the clashes aren't too big.

  • ive never seen any body elses star wars remake videos with lightning before. Cool!!

  • cool what progran you use for the lightsaber effects

  • We used a combintation of mostly Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop to do the special effects.

  • good job buddies!! take a look at my job:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9aD78UxR9Y

  • well done for this one.

  • Love the lightning effects!!!

  • what did u use for the editing on the light saber and that electricity attack

  • I already answered this question above, but anyway, we used a rotoscoping technique in Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop to make the Sabers, and an AfterEffects plugin for Adobe Premiere to do the force lightning

  • nice editind did u edit the light saber? or was it 1 of those star wars movie light saber replicas

  • We used broom handles during filming, the lightsabers are edited using special effects.

  • Wonderfully made! What effects did you use for this? I need to know!! :) -BeatleFreak910-

  • Enlish guys make me laugh! lol

  • that would hurt..ouch

  • BEAUTYFUL!!!!

    GOOD WORK!!!!

    PLEASE KEEP IT UP!!!

  • ure saber looked like it was having a seizure. and the lightning was so bad. and why didnt u make the saber go in at the end.

  • Great attempt guys.. Special effects were awesome, but the fighting wasn't quite energetic enough. Still, was an awesome video.

  • Very good attempt. Hope you make another one, but make it last longer and keep practising your dueling. Other than that your effects were top notch. WELL DONE

  • Well this film is way better then half the crap out there, did an awesome job bro. 10/10.

  • Everything's great except the correography. That could've been a lot better.

  • That was realy good man, great job.

  • The tall skinny guy is gay isnt he. Not that there is anything wrong with it but he moves akward and it makes everything look akward. As for the fight itself, very ametuer but nice attempt, and good job with hte special effects.

  • wow , nice work guys ^^

  • Nice video guys, but i recon i can take either of those guys hands down, and ill bring my master too and well take him 2 on 1,

  • Thanks for the comments :-)

We used a combintation of mostly Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop to do the special effects.

We're currently working on another, longer project so stay tuned if you wanna check it out

  • what'd u use for the lightsabre FXs?

  • what did you use for the cool special effects

  • great first attempt...more!!ï
