I am from India and I do not like pakistan but I have to say he is still the best match winner of all time with an ave of 123.36 that includes 19 match winning 100's out of his 25 centuries he scored in test cricket as he stands the best match winner ever still.The only good thing is India can beat pak now anytime since Inzy retired from cricket.When he was around we mostly lost matches to pak because of Inzamam and I was personaly witnessed 184 on his 100 test and pak won in Banaglore.

Inzamam was a match winner. He played a match winning or match turning knock in the semi final of the world cup and a decisive one in final. Viv Richard, Ponting, Gilchrist, and DeSilva have played such exceptional knocks in the Semi Final or Finals of a World cup.

Man for big occasion and pressure situation. Cannot think of Tenulkar or even may be Lara playing better than Inzimam under pressure. lara, though was d most talented batsman.

I agree with you completly mate, I know that of Inzi's 25 test hundreds about 21 have been in matches pakistan WON and many one day games Inzy sacrificed ODI hundreds for the better of the team eithr playing lower in the middle order or taking his time as wickets fell around him. There is no doubt inzy was a great, my point was that Inzy would have scored many more hundreds had he been more selfish and played for himself. Inzy mostly batted under pressure and scored runs when needed!

Inzamam wasted his talents, he could have been as good as sachin and lara, inzy did not have many 100's in ODI cricket and his performnce against Auss and Safrica were not as good as Sachin and Lara. Inzy was a brilliant player under pressure but he did not do real justice to his natural talents.
