Nice song, but there missing a rule.
God of the Gays and singles bars.
Why is this rule deleted? God love these people.
Would he not also a God of their being?
In that case we don't worship the same God.
My God gave His Son Jesus Christ to everyone.
So even for gays and singles!

I actually like this version better, musically speaking. But I think the original lyrics at the beginning about "gay and single's bars" should have stayed the same. Maybe he didn't want to stir up controversy?

I'd be interested to know why the words "God of the gay and singles bars" (the original words of the songwriter)...were changed to "God of the near and far" in this version??
