just left this beach after spending 2 weeks with a friend who lives there! Paradise on Earth!

I LOVE this world. I get down there for one week every year for the past ten years. My friends that have moved away and I always converge on this island as our yearly reunion, although none of us have ever really lived there we consider it our yearly homecoming as we all feel the peace serenity and magic that this spot possesses. Please know that you are in our thoughts and every day since the event occurred I have been sending lots of love and light to the Gulf.

Love the pictures. They bring me great peace, but nothing has brought me more anguish than the sights within the gulf these past few weeks. There's just no excuse for this horrid event. It would have been avoided had BP taken the proper safety measures. All the lawsuits and cleanup efforts won't bring back what's already been lost at the expense of someone's expanding wallet. Only time can heal this wound. Wishing you well in all this SherryLynn. My heart bleeds with you.

Thank you Sherry for taking me on a trip down your memories of this once beautiful place. The pics. are just beautiful. Can't imagine that it will be gone and nothing can restore it back. Humans are ever so careless and selfish. Thinking of the all mighty dollar. Living back in time without all these technologies would have been so much better. I am not sure of the future anymore.

Wow...This song is so appropriate for the times isn't it. I am going to have to Google Earth this little treasure you have in your front yard. Beautiful lyrics Sting came up with here back in '87. And on such a day as today... to be informed that the level of oil being set to those beautiful coastal waters is possibly 10 times what BP has been fooling us with for three weeks. Lies, Lies, Lies!!!

Yes This song is on rewind in my head these days...I suppose I am too tired to be angry anymore...what good would do now..I have been mad for years...so I have chosen to embrace every little ounce of goodness out of each day..It is all we have left...we take everything for granted...and, then it is gone....and, then we just live with memories...how fragile it all really is..thanks, casey for caring..

Fragile indeed. Breaks my heart. Have spent much time on the Gulf of Mexico.

I have found few places as beautiful in my travels, and I cannot fathom the magnitude of the damage. I am praying for everyone there, and for all the marine life that inhabit those waters. They are all important and are not dispensible. The loss of these beautiful creatures is a terrible tragedy. I suffer with you, friend.

Wow beautiful place and has seen a lot of history and storms. I know of someone who lives in Navarre, but not as close to the missile testing sites as I would like. It is ironic how some of worlds most beautiful images can remind me of such scum!
