Keep your finger behind the guards....+ Don't use a cheap multimeter for voltage over 20v Ac or 50v Dc.... Not safe. This vid. Might get someone hurt/killed.
wow....... I mean WOW! If I were you I would remove this post....... Your going to get some one killed. Now that I think about it, leave it on as a survival of the smartest test...
Get real, guy. Fluke meters (which I own) are designed for professional or semi-professional applications, while inexpensive multimeters are just fine for occasional, less demanding, applications like that shown in this video. As long as those meters are UL, CE, etc safety compliant (and all sold in USA must be), there is no systemically inherent danger beyond operators failing to heed safety warnings in manuals.
The nomenclature for the service in *EVERY* RV park in North America is "50 Amp service". The title is referring to the campsite electrical service name - *NOT* the test he is performing. Maybe you should learn a modicum of ... I don't know, something ... hell, *ANYTHING* before you start calling others names. Just to make you happy, here's a name: nimrods!!
Thanks for the info but not sure how the title relates to the content. The title refers to 50 amps but looks like you are measuring voltage (220 volts).
thanks! Im trying to find a vid how to measure an outlet like you just have, but in the home with it switched on, and how to do it safely with my DMM. Set to what exactly etc.. cheers. (Nz post. so all outlets are 230-240v )
thats cool- i needed to check the 240v on my dryer and now i know, thanks

His title should have said, "Multi-Meter Tests 50 Amps RV Outlet". The "Professor" left out the noun part.
