this is what the rifles are meant to be about, the new album is very much like they've just let in to the mainstream indie scene i.e. "sometimes" on the album, they sound like the courteeners in places (romeo and julie, and winter calls especially), they just havent been able to recreate the sound of their first album, this song, science in violence, and the general are the only songs which i feel shows what the rifles were and are about, a very underated band, better than the fuckin courtneers

sort of agree with ay on some parts , but u ever heard of a song called "robin hood" very similar to tracks like "sometimes" and "romeo and julie"

i totally see what ur saying, but do u not think that robin hood has more a raw feel to it, its like a little more cockey and rough compared to sometimes and romeo and julie, the verses to sometimes are like the old rifles, but to me the chorus is more a mainstream inide hook, while romeo and julie is just very much like the courteeners in so many ways, the guitars and drums are very courteeners, i just think they didnt have to go down this route, they're own style is so much better

i really dont get this Courteeners V Rifles stuff they are 2 different bands, u could create an endless list of bands which sound same which is why we have Genres of music, Plus No love lost is a much better album than ST Jude , just nver caught the eye of (we chose who is big) radio1.... i went sheps bush for courteeners and brixton for rifles, rifles gig was probably one of the best gigs i have ever been to, plus how many other bands play brixton with out comercial backing !

ye i know m8, i wish i never said anyhin bout a few new rifles tracks soundin like the courteeners, i just really like the rifles own style n didnt like how i felt they wer gettin sucked into the courteeners/ mainstream indie sound, iv had courteeners fans at me all the time now, givin my vids low ratings n tryin to give me hassle cus i prefer the rifles, i shudda just kept quiet but fuck it i like the rifles n love pissin off die hard courteeners fans, they dont understand its all banter :P

This is a quality tune, i think maybe their best so far. Seen them in Manchester about a month ago & they were awesome. Singer is a very cool guy.

Nah, The real fans will keep this band going for as long as they want, enough of us to get the albums and go to the gigs etc... Its a travesty how 'bands' like razorlite and foals etc (I use them in every example) are doing well, they shouldnt be alive to be fair; 09 is the year of the rifles :)

I cant believe how underrated this band is , no love lost was one of the most unique and best albums ive ever heard ,they keep producing these amazing tracks an yet they wont get played on radio 1 on the daytime shows ,its a travesty considering some of the pish they do play,and why do people keep comparing them to the jam , i hear no likeness whatsoever !!
