Man, Berserk is the shit! And no, I won't say "It way better than Bleach, Naruto and DBZ!" If I compare it to those three, I may as well compare it to Crayon Shin Chan or Doraemon. Don't know why I brought that up, but I do see a lot of comparisons with those three and mangas that are a completely different genre.
I think Berserk was one of the only real animes to touch any good points of creation, you get all these damn teenie bop animes with girls running around in short skirt who've been modified for english television causes its a hentai in japan
i think they should make a new version of berserk, i think the old anime doesn't do the manga any justice. and it'd be cool if they did the fight between Zodd and Gutts OH! and Berserk Gutts and the tall red-head dragon guy! it'd be awsome and stuff
what i like about berserk is that it gives you a feel for the horrors of the middle ages...the 100-year-war between france and england,the crusades, battle of crecy, battle of agincourt,battle of hattin, etc. peace be with the innocents
Guts is not the same guy from the first manga volume(not at all...being surrounded by new companions has changed him..)in a way he is weaker and stronger at the same time...
Best anime song ever... Remember the battle against the Black Goats? This song played while Gatts pwned the shit out of them alone and while Griffith charged them along with the rest of the hawks.
Berzerk is definatly one of the best animes ever made, but the ending is so emotionly devastating that it leaves you in a depressed mood, thanks for the complete song though.
You can watch the manga in better quality at msn groups. Add "Berserk manga" at google, msn group ist about the forth result. It goes up until Volume 32 - the anime ends at Volume 13. Apart from that in my opinion the manga is more fun than the anime - the elf puck is not even mentioned.
