@25hrsAday8daysAweek no not really, its the same but if your connection is slow than the wifi will be slow, when you trying to browser on the ps3, its the other way around, doing this doesn't slow it down or nothing

@BornAdrenaline you didn't done it right, first of all it doesn't even mess up ur internet, instead of clicking on airport you probably clicked on ethernet and messed with it, just go to the system preference and click restore, and everything should be how it was

Once i'm done the Mac part of the equation, the Airport turns off. Also, when i enter the DNS server, it just simply disappears. Help?

@TheMastaPope i think that you get your internet from a wireless router?? am i right.....well it doesn't work on that it needs to be connected through enthernet connection. people with wireless internet tend to some how turn of there airport idk y, and the DNS you need to type them in and push enter and apply setting when you finish, it will tell you to apply them when you exit the system preference

@9mater i bought a 20 metre llong ethernet cable and plugged it in my mac and now my ps3 is connected to it. but the main problem is that i keep getting sign out error 8002AD32, wouldu no how to fix that ?

@rooneygy hmm try turning off ur ps3 and turn of your internet box for a couple of seconds and start it up again and it should hopefully work, that happens to me sometimes, and if that doesnt work try calling the playstion network people they should give you better advice

I'm having some difficulties getting this to work (I am on Lion if this changes anything). I have done everything that the guy in the video has but my PS3 still comes up with "An error occurred during communication with the server. This is a DNS error. (80710102)". Any advice? Thanks

@TRATHL idk if being a lion changes everything, but keep trying you probably done something wrong and if u think u didn't its probably the wep code put it on none because if u even put the wrong code for some reason it will say DNS error at first put none and once u got it working then set one up, and make sure u put the values as it says in the description and on the vid right on the ps3, hope this help

i'm at university trying to get wifi for my ps3, if i mess around with all these dns settings and stuff will it mean i can't connect via wifi when i go back home and try and use my home's wifi?

@georgemutdronny na nothing will happen its like if you didnt done nothing, i have a laptop that i connect to my mac and ever since i changed the dsn setting stuff its still the same nothing happens. the only thing it does it help the ps3 get the dsn address so you wont get the dsn error

Hey I'm trying to setup my ps3 with my laptop wireless but when I turn off IPv4, my Airport turns off and it says Airport does not have IP address and cannot connect to the internet. I added the two DNS servers on both sides. What's the problem? Please help.

@salah182 it shouldnt say DSN error that the whole point of the vid which is to fix the DSN error. You probably done something wrong on the vid, try doing it again make sure everything is exactly the same as i do on the vid and if it dosent work you probably messed up on the ps3 go to 5:03 and follow the directions it should work

@salah182your doing something wrong keep on trying it should work because it works on the my ps3. you probably doing it wrong on your ps3 when ur scanning it make sure you go to custom, wireless-scan (put for wep code none), enter everything manually the values are on the description (finish by ps3) . at first dont set a wep code on the mac so it can be easy and fast its on the vid 2:13

@9mater Thanks...I figured it out....I use Wireless Tether to use my android as a modem...and I just connected an ethernet cord from my mac to my ps3 and it worked...:)

@FloWBalleRz just try doing it again and do it step by step make sure u done everything correctly, the whole point of this vid is fixing the dsn error on the ps3 (at first try not using a wep code at 2:13 it will make it easier)
