  • How to Start Up Your PC Faster: BUY A FUCKING SSD!!!!!!!!

  • Here's a better idea:

Start> Run> Type msconfig> Startup Tab> Uncheck everything except the updaters and your antivirus> Apply> OK

No need to install anything just to make your PC run faster.

  • @hertzman5

    whaa your serus?

your can upgrade your pc is not 1000$ pounds like 200/300$ to a upgrade

  • @TheW0rldXGamer

    .....................

  • Instead of all this shit get a job and go out and then buy a half decent PC.

  • We can use some reliable program such as Reginout Cleaner to make our startup and overall pc faster. Thanks

  • you pour gasoline and fire and it s faster

    :D

  • or you can buy a new pc!

  • or u can get registry cleaner and use this code to get full version

    474e-da87-2c0a-9d9c

  • 1.buy an SSD

    2.you get the point........

  • If you need to do all that it is better to simply upgrade the hardware!

  • then restart pc

  • also ,

    1. click start

    2. click run

    3. type %temp%

    4.Delete ALL files

don't worry about these files, they are only temporary files used when you download and do stuff etc.

    Cheers!!! Hope i helped.

  • You wanna make yout pc run faster? Heres how:

  • buy a ssd

  • it crapped it up!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • est is to use reginout cleaner to make pc fast

  • This vid is 2 year old and still sucks tit milk

  • my pc boots in 4seconds :)

  • @jdcrispe95 Are you serious? Even a cellphone takes more than 4 seconds ! Try using a timer and let us know.

  • @ccrich100 okay maybe 4seconds was abit much, but 6.3 seconds isnt that bad :D

  • @jdcrispe95 The best I can manage is about 28 seconds. What kind of hardware are you using?

  • @ccrich100 Intel Pentium 4 HT @ 3.6Ghz (OC'd 1mb cache)

    4GB DDR-2 800Mhz RAM

    Windows XP x64 Pro SP2

    250GB Crucial M225

  • @ccrich100 OMG a whole 28 seconds to start up your PC. Perhaps it's my age but i think this speed thing is getting out of hand. Mine takes a WHOLE 55 seconds including the anti virus scan. Well my PC is old, 8 months old!

  • @ludvan64 My PC is about 4 yrs old...I recall building a PC like 9 yrs back and the bootup time was 8 seconds or so but it wasn't my PC, I was helping a friend. Not sure what's going on but an 'instant' bootup PC is hard to have because the software keeps getting more and more cumbersome.

  • @ccrich100 I read that Microsoft are going to use ARM chips. I'm no technician. Do you think this will make a difference? I have noticed that modern TV's take quite long till you get a picture. When TV's switched from valves to transistors nearly 40 years ago they would come on much quicker than to days LCD's.

  • @ludvan64 The ARM chips are widely used in mobile phones and other handheld devices like mp3 players, PDAs, etc. They are based on a 32 bit instruction. While I believe ARM chips are already in use in laptops (netbooks) in direct competition with Intel's Atom, their useage won't bring any performance improvement to PC computing. It's 64 bit computing nowadays and the Intel's i7 chips with quad cores are very fast. Bootup problems with PCs are mostly about bloated software.

  • @ccrich100 It could have been a RISC processor built rather than a CISC built... Do a google search on that and tell me if that could be the case.

  • My pc boot in 23sk

  • Clean Windows Registry :

Defragment your PC to increase computer speed:

Add more RAM to Speed up your computer

Clear Cache, history and temporary internet files

Turn off unnecessary programs from start up:

    Have low intensity graphics

Uninstall unused software and programs Please remember to clean Windows registry using registry cleaner reg in out

The above guidelines were really helpful to speed up my computer. These are safe and do impact computer performance in a positive way.

  • @greentech07 What did you clean the registry with?

  • PCWORLD suck balls when it comes to anything computers!

  • @robertsja9999 Good point they said that Norton was the best anti-virus. :P

  • @Costerguy1234556 Back in the ye old days of 98, yes it was the best.

    But now...? Pff..

  • lol. you can just read win FAQ and do it better =)

  • i know a much better way: back up all you files you need and make a fresh install of windows. and you computer will run ultra fast try it thats what i always do.

  • @DOOMER23JK Yeah, but reinstalling Windows takes time. What I suggest is, when system is still fresh, make full system image with something like Acronis TI or CloneZilla. Then when computer is slow, backup all personal files and just restore the original image. Restoring an image takes just 15-20 minutes + some time to restore personal files from backup.

  • Mac is just for show off. If you want a fast computing machine, assemble a high-end PC. Its funny how mac users post something like, "how can I download torrent?", "is there a mac version for this?", "where's the crack for Mac?", or "this software is fake and its not working, by the way I'm using Mac."........lol....If you don't want this issues, PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY PC...............

  • @rafkristoff

Im using both a PC and a MAC, i agree with your statement.

in my experience i find the PC more flexible with customisation unlike the commercialized Macintosh who's mainstream is more focus on user-friendlyness and simplicity. This is why the most Mac users will never understand the idea behind assembling a high-end PC, PC users always talk about.

  • Very informative video. Thanks for the post.(^^)v

  • good, i want more

  • Its funny that there are no videos on how to speed up a mac?

  • @TheGuthixJester -.- search..... ill bet u u will see a bunch

  • @TheGuthixJester, that's because mac sucks.

  • lol ! :D

  • i think that guy is tramp hired off the streets lol

  • ey u fucken old ass muther fucker

    its a virus

    i hate u

    im unsuscribing

i hope you lose all your subscribers

  • hey!!! WTF!!! its a virus

  • i know

  • @jvalinton virus? no! a trojan? yes! trojan= a backdoor virus (not the real thing like worm, etc.) no harm/danger if u have a trojan.

u can just use the program "ccleaner" to clean ur computer and then change to windows 7, this will guarantee a faster PC.

i did this with my dell xps 1640.

  • I think my computer is messed up. Yesterday when I turned it on it was just a blank screen after the xp window. It was a black blank screen, when a blinking curser. I thought it crashed. I was out with friends for a few hours, and it was already booted up, and ready to get on the internet.

    Any one know what's wrong?

  • does it work for vista,too ?

  • I bet you have never owned a high end pc ?

  • @crazydude679

Thats because the MAC can hardly run stuff.

  • I'm jealous of something which can't run my PC stuff? lol

I always build a £1000 PC I think can afford a MAC. Why buy a machine which will be weaker than my PC.lol

  • @people12man Tell that to my friends father.

Im building him a quide good computer whit screen & everything for less then 900€ but my friens father wants to buy him a macbook pro (the cheapest 1)

Also my friend plays games so it will be a total waste of money.

  • @people12man english....please?

  • yeah right, mac is so bad!

  • if you can afford a high end notebook you can afford a mac they aren't that expensive right now -.-

  • @crazydude679 good one mate lol

  • Give me the money you paid for your mac, and ill build my own PC that runs just as fast.

Also little fan boys like you wreck Apples appearence. Yes there good. and your buying into a product that most likley your not going to use to what it was built for.

Get a life. And stop pretending you know EVERYTHING.

  • That comment was aimed @Crazydude678

  • my record is 2-3 sec i was changing autostart that was quest restar i push yes in 2 sec was short black than comes passwort and login window wtf !

  • wow my xp went 9 sec

  • i got win 7 it take 7 sec

  • i got win 7 lol 3 sec start

  • 3 sec ??? .. :O wow ..

  • lol 3 sec lol lol

  • Shut your bullshit. It is called stand-by faggot, and it takes longer then 3 seconds.

  • thank you for that contribution, it was very helpful

  • for the first three months..then it gradually gets slower :D

  • i got xp pro instant boot takes about 20 sec maybe.

  • None of these techniques are going to add a significant amount of speed to your startup. As I discuss in my hello world series, the primary culprits for slow computers are overpowered antiviruses such as McAfee and Symantec Norton and too many items in your startup menu under msconfig.

  • wow it worked good

  • simple, Get Linux!

  • how the fuck u gonna tell ppl to uninstall drivers.u trying to fucking everybody u dumb ass mother fucker

  • Maybe it's slow because it's a Dell?

And the Ctrl + Alt + Del at login also makes it login under a second... I used to use it at home...

The PC I am speaking/ writing on is NOT Dell,

it's a home built one from 2004... Started out with 512 MB RAM, upgraded to 1.2GB DDR 400MHz, (Not even DDR2!)...

Anyway, I am still using my version of Microsoft Windows XP pro from 2004... Never failed me once, no BSoD, no nothing.

Also use CCleaner (Freeware) Preform a Registry Scan and a Internet scan on startup

  • lol i wish they com out with a 1 terrabyte hard drive for computers

  • They do!.. lol...

  • they already have ... its been out for months...

  • Lol my computer has 120gb ram...

  • is that even posible ? not for xp etleast dont you mean the your space on your harddisk ?

  • The only way 120GB of ram is possible is with an entire server cabinet.

  • impossible.

  • Its a server that I built...

  • Mine has 500gb ram with a the srvers i have

  • 500? hah thats a funny joke!

  • DO you have to pay? Tell me more!

  • good for you.... hahaha

  • probrably 120 mb cause 120gb is impossible

  • wtf, i dont understand this :\

  • My pc takes 10 mins to bootup becoz I have norton antivirus.. it sucks hard! really!

  • if u want better virus protection use AVG its free or it ha´s a free verision check my tutorial howto and do

  • croatian computer magazine Bug have tested few antivirus programs. AVG detected 14% viruses, Kaspersky detected 95%. Better have nothing than AVG -.-

  • it was 109% visruses??

  • NO, they had viruses and they tested each software so Kapersky detected 95% out of 100% and AVG detected 14% out of 100% , you dont add them together

  • Bullshit.

  • do you have an Asus Rampage II motherboard?

  • Must be a Mac Pro! Can hold up to like 32 GB Ram

  • mac's suck

  • no..Windows/ PC Sucks!!

The Reason why you have to watch a video on how to make it boot faster!! haha

  • What the fuck were you watching it for?

  • 750 gb is ok

    12gb ram bullshit

  • 12gb ram, is far from bullshit..thats pretty much mainstream for core i7 motherboards?

  • i have 8 so i gave a stick to my mate because it made fuck all difrence

  • Give me an example where you would need 12GB ram.. and fast ram at that.

  • epic rounds of running 12 instances of wow/crysis/tf2

  • First of all.. running a single instance of WoW is a waste of RAM. Set yourself one fire.. you're not needed on earth..

Second.. Crysis really doesn't need that much ram. VRAM maybe, but not system memory.

I don't lose a single FPS when I drop my computer down to 2GB for testing..

12GB of ram is still pretty stupid and not needed. Granted there are a few enthusiasts that will make use of it..

For now, 6GB of 1000MHz+ RAM will handle anything you throw at it. 8GB if you've got the £

  • photo/video editing for instance

    working with autocad etc.

  • I'm yet to fill my 4GB with video editing and I build websites in photoshop often with over 300 layers and still running below 3GB.

AUTOCAD is one of the only application that could probably make use of 12GB RAM and that's not a common application. If you take AUTOCAD seriously you would also be buying a £3k+ quadro GPU and if you're doing that, you're not going to be a home user or even a gamer / enthusiast.

I still think 12GB is overkill. 8GB is the maximum if you ask me.

  • well, there is always the "whynot" factor if you have the money to spend, which is more than likely why anyone would have 8+gb ram

  • Lol it really is.

Good ram though, you could be spending £100 for the etc 3-4 gig.

I'd prefer save the money and get a better GPU or something.

  • haha 12gb! thats needed for running for instances of fallout 3

  • if you are a video editor guy =]

  • i aint got the foggiest idea how to connect the box thing to the screen mine is a handmade pc

  • omg my windows vista starts up in 5 seconds...this is shit..i was watching it for fun.

  • who needs a tortuise on valium a tortuise on viagra would be worse

  • Here are my awesome specs

    16 mb of RAM

    15gb hard drive(1gb left)

    intel pentium 2 processor

    15mhz

My computer is better than all of yours combined =D

  • lol

  • You mean worse than all of ours combined.

  • no u

  • I have 2 computers. One has vista-250gb hdd and 1gb ram!!!!!

    Windows xp-20gb hdd! 256mb ram!!!!!!!!!!

  • thats shit lol

  • LOLS

  • I could list the Specs of my computer that is still running on Windows 93 that sits in my basement... But that would be too much trouble. Here's a hint though. Its Hard Drive capacity is less than a Mb... XD And the disks that used to be called Floppy Disks are not Floppy Diskettes. Its amazing how big of a capacity change happens in just 10 or so years. To think, 1 Gig is small to people no a days. ^_^

  • Hi Slaven152,

i douibt that it is less than one MB of hd, because the os you reffer to, windows nt 3.1 as it is normally called (the only windows released in 93...), needs at least 12mb, recommmendet 20mb of RAM (!) to operate and needs 72 md hd (88 that is, when using NTFS Disks)

and this is for the os only, no applications or cache...

  • You may be right. I was 4 at the time, so the numbers could be very foggy. All I remember is its version of Windows functioned through DOS alone. The Floppy Disks where the size of bread slices, and the games I played were 2D and that was "Advanced" graphics at the time. It was definitely not Windows NT so I dunno. 93 is the earliest version I remember having an OS disc for so I assumed but when I was 4, it was the year 1990.

  • WTF 16 MB OF RAM?

  • lol u i have a 1.6ghz pentium dual core 2gb ram 320gb hd 7300gs and my vista pc is really fast.

  • and mine is a 5 by the way

  • no vista is maddd sloww lol

i have a top of the line processer 4 gig memory 1 terabyte memory .. bacisally the most expensive computer possible .... vista is madd slow lol i rather use xp where i can use my photoshop illustrator burn a cd and creats dvds in premiere pro than go back to vista .. and alot of my stuff not compatible with vista ... which is maddd sloww =]

  • thats a shit pc I have 8gb of DDR3 and a Q9765 and a 36gb SSD os drive and 6x 1tb storage hdds plus 2 280gtx cards in sli.

  • ok even with ur computer

run all adobe programs on vista

    it lags

    run them on xp

    its smothe

my bottom line is y upgrade to something that uses up more resources ?

  • all of my Adobe creative suite running at once runs as smooth as anything, on vista.

  • <<hates Vista. Crashed twice in 10 months. Thats not bad at all. But it is SO SLOW. I hav 2 gigs of RAM and it runs just as fast as when I ran 512 mb on my old XP. Microsoft please fix this. God I should've bought a Mac. I bought a PC cause none of my games would play on a Mac, but a year later (almost) they all were released for Mac. I hate my life

  • Buy. A. Mac.

  • yea macs are like hmmm 3x faster than vista

  • As the old saying used to go "Windows 2000 is Macintosh 86"!

  • nope

  • they really aren't

  • Ya, so everyone who is flaming Vista is either

    A) A teenager with a crappy comp

    or

    B) An adult with a crappy comp

Posting pages worth of proof that vista is legit in its workings isnt worth my time on youtube, and Im sure a few hundred of you will respond with how you all have 8series ultras sli and dual quad cores and 16gigs of ddr3, but u dont so shut up and save up and get a new comp nubz

  • Are you saying that we're all lying when we say that Vista? I don't have an 8 Series Ultra SLI, nor dual Quad Cores, nor, 16GB of DDR3, but does Vista tell me I require that? No. Furthermore, if you actually investigated some of the online communities of PC experts, you'd find people with that sort of spec flaming Vista.

  • You can cruise the Vista, but Leopard will tear up the whole Vista!

  • Run a low end version of linux.

  • Download Tiny xp From Torrents

  • That will cripple you from playing games, movies, and ...., because this procedure disable all the graphics card processor and other process which you can in the task manager by pree ALT+CRT=DEL

  • That will cripple you from playing games, movies, and ...., because this procedure disable all the graphics card processor and other process which you can in the task manager by pree ALT+CRT=DEL

  • NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD!!!

  • Are you serious? That sounds dangerous.

  • I am using Vista Ultimate and its Faster than XP.....

  • Sorry, but it's not...

  • Why, the brand new Vista Service Pack One , shows 20% more performance than XP did.

  • lol i hate vista its mad slow

  • Your computer & u too are MAD. Do'nt Blame the Vista.

  • There is no way that a OS that uses much more resources than xp could be faster than xp. Vista uses a lot more resources for things like aero glass. You can test this by using only 256-512mb ram and trying both os's. Xp and Vista. Youll notice that Vista is almost unusable and xp runs almost flawlessy even on 512mb where vista runs really slow. Trust me. I have experience of this. And dont come saying that its faster if you dont use aero glass. Its not.

  • But if you have a Core 2 Duo , 2 GIGs of RAM, and HD or 8 Series card. Then the Vista would beats the ass of XP.

  • Vista just doesn't work. I have a better PC that the one you just listed. Vista is just shit. It DOES NOT WORK! XP works about 5 times more efficiently on the same PC! Throw as many benchmarks at me as you like - I don't care. They don't explain why Vista crashes constantly, and XP remains stable on the same machine. Have you compared Vista and XP side-by-side? I suspect not.

  • True

  • Honestly, I've had Vista for over 6 months now and it's never crashed on me. The only weird problem I've had is when it would be shut down it would take forever, this stopped after I bought more ram. Besides that I love it? Minus the fact some programs I use for school do not work on it. But that's just due to version issues

  • If you take a good look at Vista, it does in fact reveal itself to be totally flawed and generally shit though.
