This is a lot better than some of the lists I've seen...however, it REALLY makes sense that GOLTV would put Maradonna at the top. Even some of the shots on the list could be rearranged...1 and 2 both were just regular chip shots. But yeah if they were gonna HAVE to put ol' Diego at the top, they shoulda gone with what they put at number 4.

Granted of course, there's a lot of goals missing from the list. But, as has been said, it's impossible to please everybody.

Not the most accurate list imo, but you guys have to cut it some slack... it is virtually impossible to make a list where everyone will be happy, since there have been so many great goals.

And there is always the issue of changing times... I mean Peles goal vs Sweden is nothing impressive, yet it makes it up there because of the era it was scored in.

Its still miles ahead of some utterly bs lists I have seen where users voted the most obscure crap into the top 10.

An extremely decent stab at producing a serious Top 10. Owen's goal (although extremely good)is considerably over-rated when compared, for example, to Al-Owairan's. If Owen had scored that goal, we'd still be talking about it on a near-daily basis. Hagi's goal would not be in my Top 10 - I genuinely believe that at the moment of striking he intended it as a cross. In common with some earlier comments, Bergkamp's goal v. Argentina must be a serious contender for at least a Top 10 spot.
