  • I find it odd how everyone starts clapping when he goes off into the more catchy beat when everything else he was playing before was filled with odd timings and just had impressive songwriting altogether.

  • nice to see there are music snobs in every culture who feel the need to tear someone else down while they have nothing to offer themselves other than self proclaimed expertise. Try creating instead of destroying. Love, peace and life over what you are putting out.

  • Indian music is best yaar

  • raw

  • I just love how he get into his trance-state while playing but EMERGES with a smile from within when people start clapping and cheering!

  • bruv for god sake go 2 a teacher and learn u make a joke of tabla!,having a bashful face(like in snow white and the seven dwarf) does not hide ur weakness!

  • Wow! Thank you, Gurpreet. :D

  • hello sir good that is good telent very nice

  • THIS is how you're supposed to play! He's totally hypnotised by what he's doing and it sounds AWESOME!

  • inspiring...

  • yehh ,, good ji

his kehrva was very good ,,

    teentaal was very small !!

  • I'd love to learn to play tabla. They're just too expensive

  • @organmies In America And UK they are expensive but in India it cheap you can get a good pair of tabla for $94 dollars but in uk it £62. can be found at Raj Musicials, Delhi Musical Stores, Nagi Instruments and many more.

  • seem a tabla selftrained that want to play in classical stage :.)

  • his titkit suffers from its speed...

    riyaz brother.,,

god bless you because you bring happiness to other people

  • No need to get self-righteous about lay audiences and whether or not the musician was meditating. Did the music move me? Yes! Did the audience enjoy it? Apparently so. Enough said.

  • boot leg tari khna

  • Amazing!

  • He was sleeping all the way!!!

  • Dha ge na ti na k dhina!

    Amzing tabla playing Sardar JI!

  • get lost....i bet u cant evn play th tabla....idiot..

  • i apologize for being so harsh before. i think i was just having a bad day. i should be more tactful. the playing needs work is what i am saying. i don't understand why you'd get so offended? are you the guy's family member or something? it's not that this guy isn't goo. but any decent tabla player can see that he is sacrificing clarity and musicality for showmanship to a more than likely lay audience. that's all.

  • ur full of crap..thats all i can say...he is not showing off in anyway possible...and also theres nothing wrong in showing of ur talents to other people...atleast he practices 2 perfect his talent as much as he can..thats all that counts...

  • is he for real??????????????

  • Sardar Sardar... only you can get away with this.. if you try this India, they'll let you play for the deaf..

  • Is that necessarily because "The Tabla Guy" is bad? Or perhaps the incapability of the Indian classical music scene to accept innovativeness is the problem...

Maybe he should just post a video of himself perfectly regurtitating 60 year old kaidas...

I've never been impressed by people like you

  • Mr. Winni apologies for the remark, never being impressed by me is of course your choice, his tabla playing is ok but he is lacking in so many areas.. why should I say this if he is good..

  • perhaps you could elaborate on what he is lacking, not to "impress us" (which is trivial), but to validate your point, so as to engage in a constructive argument, in contrast with this perceived wit that is mere trashing of his performance.

  • i like the part from 3:30 untill 4:30

but from 3:43 to 3:51 sounds strange indeed

was that meant with "out of timing"?!

  • You lack development in ur compositions...need to show more maturity in ur playing of kaidas...totally out of timing....bayan neeeds some more punches.......

  • He is the Stundent Os Great Ustad Tari Khan

  • Chanay are some sikh people.

  • Amazing , whene u come in Europe?????????????

  • May i ask why is it in Blacnk and white?

  • remeber is dha tirkittak dha, not dha frrrrrrfrrr na

  • Tune your drum

  • good work... punjab gharana kayada..paltas.... a lot of DhaTeReKeTay TaaKaTeReKeTay...... Good Kaharwa in a Bhangra way.... Great Dhol work.... but kasamse paji u have got a gajab ki smile... all the best

  • You need to organize your beats. Play a full cycle of kaidas and followed with the variation of the same kaidas. That will make beat in the same "lay" and you will enjoy the sound of it. Try to enclose one or two Laggi or Paran at the end of each complete kaida cycle. Anyways, it is a good try..

  • whats with all the hate.......tabla is not about that nor is any music just enjoy what each artist has to offer.....

  • hahah i'm with gurdain ji..uh oh..is right...

  • cool but ur dayaan is not in tune,, have fun

  • @MainzxLivewire start playing keybord

  • @MayaDhari I disagree with your statement to some extent. Teentaal is not suppose to, and will never, lose its plot (if played well of course).

  • @MayaDhari no its only chota teental..lol

  • @MayaDhari i fully agree
