  • four strokes sound like they are farting...2 strokes sound like a mad bee nest or victory haha

  • I like 4 strokes :D it sounds like a thunder, and 2 strokes like a bee or somethink ;D

  • Use are well tryin to make him blow his bike up

  • skytop facility!! love that place.

  • Does anybody know how long does it take to break in your dirtbike i just got a rebuild engine new valves and new je piston, havnt rode it and wondering how long do i have to wait till i get to be on the rev limter Any answers please and thanks :)

    xx

  • lika 2hours, little bitt more oil to, about 4% =)

  • 10 hours man

  • run it for like 5 to 15 mins around 2000 to 3000 rpm then ride it like your gonna ride it thats what i do ive never had a problem with anything

  • fist 5 min let it cool down completely then ten and then fifteen but use extra oil. dont run it fast run it about 12 - 15 mph

  • one complete fueltank to breake in.

  • 4 stroke or 2 stroke?

  • Comment removed

  • @surfsup1552 4 strokes were built for blokes who are too soft to ride 2 strokes, lol!

  • @PhatArtz anyone can ride either bike well. someone that has rode a 4 stroke will find a 2 stroke hard to ride.... and other way round. . . just down to personal preferance ! you wouldnt say all the top riders and Gary are to soft to ride a 2 stroke would you ?? and they are all on 4 strokes.

  • @surfsup1552 Race bikes ALL used to be 2 stroke, untill the manufacturers realised there was more money to be made when a 4 stroke enivitably blows up from having the arse thrashed off it! 250Fs are the highest maintenance machines out there and top riders only ride them because they are given to them! To me, they just lack the power and are too expensive to repair and maintain. Id love to know how they ever managed to infiltrate our great sport in the first place!!

  • @PhatArtz cus there is more potentional

in them.. you can see how much 4 strokes have come along with the fuel injectoin and are still progressing loads. i still think 2 strokes are great bikes but 4 strokes are justing getting better and better......

  • @surfsup1552 I agree, they are getting better but they are still heavier and they need a huge capacity to generate enough power! 2 get a 250F moving anywhere near as fast as a 250 2 stroke, you have to rev it so hard, and they just wear out! Some bikes are needing full rebuilds at 50 hours of riding, I can do that in a couple of months! IMO, they are just too expensive and not exciting enough to ride. I have a 2011 Gasgas EC300 with electric start and it just kills 450F's and is so much lighter!

  • @PhatArtz what ever floats your boat.....

  • @PhatArtz dude u have no idea what your talking about get on a 250F and then speak.

  • @mrmxer100 I traded my 06 Special Edition YZ250F on my Gasgas and its the best thing I ever did! The YZ had a complete meltdown with 62 hours on the clock and it cost nearly 3 grand to rebuild it!! My GG is up to 186 hours and still on the original piston and that bad boys so much faster than any 250 4T!! Getting rid of that bike is the best thing I ever did!!

  • @PhatArtz yeah thats not supposed to happen at all lol thats bad luck and 4 strokes arent made for blokes there just as good now they even have a snappy powerband now try out a 2011/2012 kx250f think ul litterally be surprised

  • @mrmxer100 Actually, funny you should say that, I had the chance to ride one yesterday and as you say, it was pretty impressive and fun to ride but its too soon to say how low maintenance it will be. One of my mates who was riding with us had his 2010 CR250F sieze up on him on a high speed run with less than 60 hours on it, and I think its gonna be expensive! They just dont like long periods of sustained high revs :( I think the 450s are better cause you dont have to ride them so hard!

  • @PhatArtz yeah thats why some people chose 2 over 4 because 2 strokes are lower maintenance

  • @chickenman2 all opinion. ride a 2 and a 4 stroke and decide which one is for you. personally i like 2 strokes better.

  • @Kiikebaybay not long. a steady couple of hours and it should be fine....

  • idk if there nessesarily slow but after riding my crf450r and then riding a rm125 it felt like a turd. if your not used to 250 or 450 then a 125 is nice. they feel like they have alot of power as long as you dont get used to riding something bigger

  • No way man, they go off, They have about the same power as a 250 4 stroke and are ligher.

  • i own a 09 450r and do alright in races ain't got work on it either used to a yamaha i had to work on that alot

  • Every time we go out of state for a race I have a RM 250, KTM 360, and a CRF 250.

The only one I ever need to work on is the Honda. Been like that since 1995..

God damn JAP bike sucks. KTM is my fav.

I'm a 2 stroke fan, so I'd go with the KTM 144.. or actually just buy a KTM 250 because 125/144 is way to slow. Smaller bikes need more engine work becuz you have to ride the piss out of them. Young kids usually own 125's and they dont treat their bikes very well.. so dont buy a used 125.

  • 250r is the best it has alot of torque and its very dependable

  • Its so you wont kill the bike if you use the back one it will kill the motor

  • hahahahaha what??

  • he sayin if u hit the back brake ur bike will stall i think but thats if ur stupid and dont pull in the clutch

  • ppl on here are such goons.

  • haha i no right

  • hey, im new at riding and i wanna know why you would use the front brake? wont you do a stoppie if you do that?

  • lol you dont need to JAM the front brake, only just enough to help you slow down for a corner that your carrying speed into

  • use the rear most of the time, if you think you're not guna slow down quick enough ease on the front brake =)

  • It depends on how much your pulling the brake . If you pull the brake to the max : Stoppie . :)

  • NO if your in a tighter turn than the front break compresses the forks and makes the front tire grab a lot better, but u cant grab a handful of brake or you will yard sale. i know it sounds weird but try it it makes a huge difference

  • if u no how to use the front brake properly its much more effective than the rear break but u have to use the rear brake also so the back of the bike dont try to beat the front of the bike.

  • my ktm is wierd. if you pull it in half way, you stoppie. but if you ease it on it doesnt give you enough power. there is a real fine line where it is effective

  • motocross isnt about air you fuck'n gooner

  • ur a retard the less air the faster and this guy is a legend and could smoke ur ass anyday

  • i wanna tobe class with her

  • the city is named after my lastname

  • skytop is one sick track!

  • haha, i know frenchy. he rides at my track. hes doin a MX school at pagoda mc this year.

  • Did he lock the rear wheel or did he keep gas and hit the brake at the same time ? If not. what did he mean by the break and stuff :P ?

  • k one question.... do you ride? he ment dont overuse the brake and once you let off of the brake then you have to get back onto the gas again, im not saying this is a bad vid or tutoral or anything but usually you would come into the corner hard use the front brake more than the back and the get back on the gas

  • unless ur in the sand, shoul hardy use front brake at all then otherwise ull wash out

  • yeah well you get the idea

  • Nice!
