You are seriously misinformed if you think Cuba doesn't have doctors. It's probably the one thing Cuba is really good at; producing doctors.

The reason Cuba is stuck in the 1950s is not because they are commies. Is the People's Republic of China stuck in the 1950's? No. What about the Socialist Republic of Vietnam? Not stuck in the 50's either.

Cuba is stuck in the 50's because of the American trade embargo against them, which began in the 1950's.

By the way..... electricity generation and transmission has almost nothing to do with capitalism. It's a heavily regulated and subsidized industry.

Taxpayers subsidize something like 15-20 billion dollars of the energy industry every year.

Granted, that's miniscule compared to the trillions that taxpayers give to the banks and wall st (interest free), so they can "loan" it back to us with interest.

All that so we can be in awe of the greatness and "efficiency" of capitalism.

True pure capitalism has never existed on the scale of an entire nation. There have always been cronies and corruption and frauds. Like I said, fraud is a time honored tradition of the worship of capital- what we call capitalism.

The wealth of this nation was not created magically by deceitful financial systems, it was created by the labor of workers.

Now that we don't make anything here anymore (which really began about 30 yrs ago), we only consume, our wealth is essentially gone.

I agree 100% - But what is your answer? A socialist / commie state? That won't work. It has never worked. This country is based on FREEDOM, not collectivism. I have to admit I definitely agree with you about ending useless and wasteful wars of aggression and empire.

Half our budget is spent on the military. Thats not even counting all the times Bush and Obama asked for an extra emergency $87 or $150 billion to fund these pointless wars.

Half of all money in the world spent on 'defense" is from USA taxpayers. We easily dwarf military spending by any other country or even continent!
