  • My idea:

    1. Public Video Cameras record but no TV screens.

    2. Accessed only through court orders.

    3. Accessed only when a crime occurs.

    4. Rolls over every 12 months.

    5. The City Operates and Maintains the Cameras.

  • If everyone was allowed to view security cameras then o.k. The problem with security cams by the Gov. is it's potential for abuse. Whats to stop them from surveillance on political activists. Your naive if you think the government doesn't think anyone who dissagrees with them a threat. Why doesnt' the FBI release the video cams taken after OklahomaCity, the security cams taken near the Pentagon on 9/11, etc. If you want a Stazi environment and total fascism this is Police state activity.

  • I'm an 18 year old British guy.

Unless your Breacking the law people have got nothing to fear from cctv, It's only people that break the speed limit that are bothered by the authoritys and the speed limit is there for a reason.

  • im 13 and a guy....i dont really care

  • I Have OCD And I have A Big Fear Of cameras,i remember when i went to a store And i couldn't get what i wanted to get because a camera was guarding it.

  • There is a difference between cameras on personal property, and cameras watching and recording innocent people in public streets.

  • I don't mind cameras. I don't mind other people watching me on video, since other people can already see me on the street. When I come home from a night out I feel safer with cameras.

  • Great video and yes Captured video helps in this day and age of random thefts and yes even murder. World in not getting better but at least there is something we can do to help slow

    down it's rapid demise.

  • love ur videos cant wait untill there are more

  • If you aren't doing anything wrong, what is the problemo lady?

  • How about doing a post on how to set up a security sys? What to buy, what type of products, and computer needed.

    society

    Im 4 it

  • Stay tuned... I have a couple of new videos in the cooker.

  • Allow thm torecord.

  • 4 million surveilance cameras in LONDON alone.

This is america, its a free country and we dont need no stinky gov spying on americans in public.

Putting cameras on the borders, thats too big of an idea for the gov to comprehend but they want to record us in public.

COPS lie and say its illegal wiretapping when we record them in public, thats a lie to intimidate you.

Threaten them to a civil rights lawsuit if they try it, they have to buy an attorney then.

  • Based on my limited life experience, I'd say public cameras are a good idea.

  • In a business situation I think it's OK.

In everyday life I just cant see it being anything other than a intrusion on our lives and freedom to just be ourselves!

I just dont see it being a need for our homes,if you want to know if someones at the gate get a dog!

    41 yr old male(with 5 dogs)LOL!!!

  • sorry 61 yrs

  • Yes OK to record. After all if your doing nothing wrong who cares if your being observed.

  • For me it's mostly situational, but overall, I think it's getting out of hand. Examples, at a bank ATM it's a great idea. But seven cameras over a single intersection is overkill and a bit 1984ish frightening. (45 year old male, for your research).
