I see you do something with the surface bodies at 7:28, I keep on trying but couldn't get the surface highlighted to convert that entity. Please help me
hey don't know if you're still responding to these, but how do you get the little detail measurements? like the grip in the tire? just guess? is it just guessing?
hello VINIGRIGOLO!!as far as i understand you have made two seperated parts.so you have to use the solidworks assembly to put these parts together.assuming that the dimensions are precise check the upper inner face of the rim of the wheel to be TANGENT with the lower outer face of the rim of the tire.if this doesn't work initially then make the faces COINCIDENT first and then TANGENT. i hope i helped.if not send me a PM to talk again!
I keep getting an error when I try to cut extrude the surface-revolve2. It says something like cannot terminate where extrude ends. What am I doing wrong?
it's great i also wanna the best deginer 4 it what will've to do pleas suggest me & mail me on my email id please guide me please in that wayat should've to doat 1st step 4 design .
I've done a wheel that you made, and now I'm making this tire. But, how can I add these two parts together, I mean: put the wheel inside the tire? Thanks for help!

I have a question about the blue line that happens when you mirror the tire. After mirroring you can see there is a blue line that right between the two halves of the tire. Can you tell me what that is? and how to get rid of it?
hi ! I have some projects to do in solid works, could you help me, by making some tutorials with some drawing that I`ll give you? you could help me a lot, because I have an exam, and I have to learn solid works 2010. please give me your yahoo id messenger. thanks. :)
Anyone, thats having problems with the "surface" tab. Go to Insert->Surface->Revolved. But altough I don't know why I don't have the surface tab. Are you using SW 2010, or is it just "display the surface tab" thing in options?
Good tutorial! at first i thought it went to fast, but when i got used to it it worked like a charm. The resolution was good so i could easily pause and see what you did. And since to video could not have narration, i think it was a good idea to have no sound since then i can play the music i like. I hope to see more of these in a near future. :P
very good tutorial, but I'm having difficulty right at the end of the tutorial. When I try to make the circular pattern to create a tread pattern, i get an error message saying "Rebuild Errors. Invalid feautre for patterning. Please recreate the feature using the geometry pattern option or make sure that the feature is on a single solid body"
@alexmang99 and if I try selecting the 'Geometry Pattern' box, I get another error message, saying: "Rebuild Errors. THe selected features could not be patterned using a geometry pattern. Deselect the Geometry Pattern check box. I can post screen shots if you like. I am using Solid Works 2009 SP5.0 if it helps. Also, I noticed that I have 2 'Solid Bodies' when from your video, it looks like you only had one. My 2 being the curved section of the tire and the middle part of the tire.

looks complex... Why not use blendeer or maya?
happygamestvfun1 1 year ago
@happygamestvfun1 because in blender, maya or 3ds max cant do planes or FEA.
Solidworks is a 3D CAD program, is specifically for engineer. :)
