ok so i ran into a little speed bump... i cant find my install discs for xp so is there a way for me to partition my os into its own little spot without reformatting to do this?

all he really does is isolate his os from everything so if he gets a virus or something overly bad, it cant effect his os just the partition the stuff is on and its really a great idea... im just about to do it myself

my formatting end up saying that the disk is damaged and i cant format the harddisk and thats after 100% of waiting LOL so what do you think is the problem the PIRATE OS DISK or the harddrive my bios sequence is cdrom first then harddrive-0 then floppy is that right?and i was trying to format my computer that dont work anymore and keeps asking for a boot disk?so what do you think?please help!!

Hey mate. Does this partitioning only account for the hard drive which you install XP . I am currently using 2 hard drives One is 80 gig and the other is 320 gig. I have offloaded all my WANTED documents to my 320 gig HD. Just as a BULK storage. And im going to re-install XP as i have a pirated copy atm. So what im trying to say is. Should you partition EVERY hard drive in your system...Or only the hard drive with XP install on it

On the Download partition, when you download a program, do you scan it for viruses first, and then install that program to your Programs partition?

And one other thing i was wondering about. you say on the beginning that reinstall windows is one of the last prioritated thing you would do, but you do say that you can instal windows on the first partition. But i got one problem i dont know where the reinstal CD of my computer is!. I heard one other tjing that you dont need a CD on Home Edition to reinstal. waht do you sugest i should do ?
