  • Actually, this is not racist. They are just comparing slavery to drug addiction. My black friend showed this add to me. It is a very effective drug add, but not racist.

  • Ron Paul 2012

  • You are all idiots, especially the person saying kill em all and let god sort them out. Oh and LSD isn't addictive. Idiots, pick up a book, go to school.. Only ignorant uneducated bastards are racist.

  • Slaves to Food. Gotta eat it every damn day. Dont be a slave. %anorexia4life

  • Blacks have always been their own worst enemy. Black slave traders bought and sold black slaves long before the white man did it. Then the blacks slave traders captured and sold their own black brothers and sisters to the white European and American slave traders. That is historical fact.

  • I think this ad is misguided. What it should be showing is the correlation between pre-civil war slavery and using the illegalization of drugs as an excuse to incarcerate blacks and essentially treat them as slaves to maintain the U.S. prison industry.

  • The government invented crack as the new form of slavery..and aids

  • lol!

  • how the fuck is this racist? i'm racist myself towards niggers, but this is telling them not to do drugs. :/

  • This wasn't racist, if anything it was trying to warn blacks, not demean them...

  • They never said don't use WEED :DD

  • There's a difference between PERSONAL racism and STRUCTURAL racism. In a structural racist society NO ONE has to be PERSONALLY racist for the RACIST STRUCTURE to work. MOST (NOT ALL) blacks will still get the worse and MOST whites will still benefit from the best even if a FEW are experiencing the opposite.

  • I think we can be over that "Born Racist" (if you're white) thing now. It's like the Christian "Born Sinner" thing. It's completely condemning, blaming, and bogus. Being accused of being racist for basically being alive is something that gets nothing accomplished, and kills communication. Just say no to assumptions.

  • @PsilliPig Fuck yeah man. I've thought that ever since i got beat up by a bunch of 16 yr old black kids when I was twelve. They were saying racist! And daring me to call them a niger before I even knew what race was. I am white, I was born white and I will die white and there's nothing any ignorant racist can say to make me feel ashamed of my God-given WHITE skin. I will protect my people from the hypocrite racists that assume all whites are born racist.

Kill em' all! Let God sort em' out.

  • What the hell is "racist" about this PSA?

  • Wow

  • notice it said nothing about weed...

  • Doesn't seem that racist to me. While the War on Drugs itself has a fair degree of racism (especially in the sentencing of white vs. black users) the message of this commercial is not much different than what you're going to find in mosques and black churches across the country (although not as much these days)

  • The Black Panther Party had a very similar anti-drugs message, so slavery's a good metaphor. Could an environmental message work as well? You could argue that it wastes land, water and resouces to grow and manufacture stuff to make dope, booze and tobacco as it forefeits our ability to grow food.

  • Civil rights is a good thing, but when people cry "racist" at other good things like this video, it's time to step back and take a good look at where this world is headed.

  • Crack Freed Rick James & Lawrence Taylor, & Heroin Made Jazz. GAY COMMERCIAL. Niggers Owe It To Quality Drugs THA PURE SHIT

  • @whi99017 Where it's headed? Oh man, you're late to the party..Our world has long been in the bottom of the sewage tank..

  • ... how is this racist? its actually pretty damn inspirational.

  • If it is racist, then its still too important to ignore. There are many black people in prison because of drug crimes. Its fair to warn young people of this truth. Slavery would be much worse then addiction even, I think. But they have many similar points. I think its a good commercial.

  • i stronglyy belivee that the government made crack and aids and all that other deadlyy stuff to get rid of niggerss,,, just sayinn,,, :/

  • @MrZook13 Aids is at about 60% in many African countries, so No, the government of this country didn't create it. They didn't invent gangs or even guns either.

  • I am pretty empathetic to minorities and their feeling about racism, but I don't see this as racism. The message is directed at African Americans, but all it's saying is that your ancestors fought for the right to be free, so future African Americans shouldn't volunteer to be slaves to a drug. Be proud of who you are. They are not saying that only black people are addicts.

  • Slavery gets shit done.

  • @ovician No rest for the wicked.

  • @ovician it sure as hell got the pyramids done

  • it would be funny if the guys in 0:26 were white

  • lol how the fuck can u even equate slavery to using drugs.....wow....just wow

  • Comparing addiction to slavery makes perfect sense, they are both awful. Crack was an epidemic among black people in the 80s. Conspiracy theorists admitted it, saying powder cocaine was a lesser crime than crack, and that crack was a more serious crime to punish blacks. Listen to the lyrics of the rap song "white lines" . Nowadays, white people smoke crack too, but it wasn't always that way. Be sure to check your facts and learn the history about subjects before sounding the "racism" alarm.

  • LMFAOOO

  • I don't think this was racist (at least, I don't think it should be considered racist, when you take into consideration the year ("1991") it was made). There definitely was a huge drug problem (crack mostly, but even heroin) in the African American community. That is, of course, not say that there wasn't one in the non-African American communities also.

  • We actually offered for Africans to come here, if they would have said no we would have gone somewhere else. You're welcome. Smoke weed.

  • @bigpyro1618 what the fuck?

  • @DOUGIEfoshizzle Awesome comment, kept your audience riveted. Maybe tomorrow you could count to four seeing as you had such a big day almost putting a thought together.

  • @bigpyro1618 your first comment is completely inaccurate, there is absolutely no truth to it, you obviously don't know shit about the world you live in. Its unfortunate that people like you exist. your second comment was also extremely intellectual, you really got me there.

  • @DOUGIEfoshizzle Actually I wouldn't expect a lower race to understand, you feel wronged. Truth be told you can go back to your homeland get AIDS, I really don't care. You're welcome for the free ride to the country. Try being grateful, and thank you you're an idiot and I'm glad you appreciated me letting you know. It means a lot. Good day.

  • @bigpyro1618 i'm whiter than you mother fucker

  • @DOUGIEfoshizzle Then I'd think you'd be smarter. Hm.

  • @bigpyro1618

You and him are both immature, poorly developed idiots, quite frankly.

  • @DOUGIEfoshizzle

    I'm so white I'm translucent

  • I think it is most likely conceived by concerned African Americans. I don't think it is racist, just targeted at one group. I have seen other PSA's targeting white stoners. This one does get your attention by giving the target audience the option of using anger as a reason not to do drugs. Most anti-drug PSA's are just variations of "just say no." And that is a meaningless phrase.

  • this is racist as fuck

  • it makes sense and apply but......dear god does it openly stereotype blacks XD

  • @a1rh3add You know, the dangers of marijuana are still up for questioning. The studies are so conflicting on the thing. So dont smoke weed. Just cook with it. :)

  • lol for one not just black people do drugs

  • TROLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • 0:20 barry sanders??

  • How is this racist im black and i get the message completely. Its pretty much saying we were slaves back in the day dont ruin it by being slaves of this time to drugs and sorts. Who ever thinks this has anything to do with racism needs to check out their thesaurus and cancel their internet.

  • @NateM31190 Well, can't you see how it could seem racist? Targeting a specific "race", as shown clearly in the commercial, then addressing a problem. That in turn makes the message a stereotype. Which is racist.

Really though, we're all are the human race.

    Well, I think so anyway.

  • @Gollsodia Actually we're the human species. Human race is a very inaccurate term.

  • @bigpyro1618 Sure we are. How do you figure?

  • .........That's screwed up. It wouldn't dishonor them...what the fudge...

  • this is not racist your just a stupid fucker because yo momma didnt like that she was so fat an ugly so she blame it on da white man up in heeyah

  • @FatKidENT hell doesn't exist

  • Racism is definted as a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others. None of that is taking place in this video.

And of course there are drug problems with whites, but this isn't racist at all. Besides, you're not going to reach ANYONE if you're always being completely politically correct. Thats a fact.

  • How is this racist in any way? Obviously in inner city areas there are huge drug problems, and the music industry reinforces that, glamorizing the drug game to African-Americans. Just look at Jay-z, 50, Snoop Dogg. Even fucking ice cube. They all started out hustling, pushing drugs, and killing people, and they make money off telling their stories and how they make money off of these horrible things to the neo-black comunity.

  • How the fuck is this racist. I would think it's actually quite the opposite really.

  • i am from petoria XD

  • this is unbelievably racist when the announcer says about African Americans "don't dishoner them by comming slave to heroin". alot of whites and asians do drugs as well.

  • @Nightmastercool97

It's not racist. The guy wasn't implying that only black people do drugs! He was simply trying to appeal to the black community specifically. The fact is that certain groups within the U.S. government have pushed drug addiction in to black communities specifically since the sixties to suppress dissidents.

  • Man, that was some awesome bling bling those rappers were wearing at 0:11

  • One of the only anti-drug commercials that is true.

  • its a good ad and i dont find it racist people are like slaves to drug dealers they need to steal to find money to get drugs drugs are making people slaves

  • So...what's racist about it? Does that make Bill Cosby a racist because he wants to see young kids succeed and come out of not so "good" areas like he did in Philedelphia as a kid? Good greif, postmodernism makes you shut your brain off...you kids can't think outside of knee jerk emotion, anymore?

  • Comment removed

  • @Nubia718 shut up bitch

  • 75 were african americans!

  • How can they expect you to watch TV with out drugs, being sober television is intolerable and makes absolutely no sense. oh yeah thats why i quit watching it and started reading more.

  • Um, I don't think it's racist...I think it's aimed at a certain audience. There's a major difference.

  • In a way, the Partnership for Drug-Free America is being honest here. Those who use, mostly minorities, do end up becoming a slave- in prison. The War on Drugs is simply another way for the rich, racist assholes to continue to promote their racist views by targeting those who use drugs and putting them behind bars. Although whites are, statistically, more likely to use than minorities, the minorities are the ones behind bars.

Stop the drug war now. It's insane. It's ridiculous. It has to stop.

  • @mengstro That makes good sense. I never thought of it that way.

  • @mengstro i love opiates

  • @mengstro its nothing more than an epic failure. You cannot eradicate drugs. Sorry to ruin your perfect little jesus christ loving lets go to church world.

  • @xXDEICIDE216Xx Wow. Can't believe I'm replying to this.... Not sure you actually read my comment. If you had, you would know that I'm AGAINST the drug war (see the last line?). The Jesus comment? WTF? Religion is a major reason for society thinking drugs are bad. Before religion drugs were a non-issue. Maybe you're the one who should go to church where they'll teach you to read. That way, next time I have something to say, you'll actually read it before commenting like you just did. I'm out...

  • This is racist cos its a white government company aiming a drug commercial at only black individuals.

  • @Moleson3MC

I would tend to agree with you if the black community wasn't disproportionatly affected by drug abuse, producing more tragic results than other communities. Public service announcements are created by one of the most diverse groups working with government officials trying to send important messages. Attempting to capture the attention of the target groups in a way to make a positive difference. Sometimes the message seems harsh or scary but they are necessary-not ment to be racist.

  • @Hsiss2011 That being said, labelling races doesnt make it any better, it just fuels the race wars, and makes people hate the authorities more.

  • fuck all that shit just smoke bud

  • And this is racist...how?

  • apparently showing black guys dragged around with collars and chains sure gets the publics attention...... maybe not the way they wanted to.

  • @ferrarist101 Ha, weed doesn't turn you into a fat retard like your uncle. It also doesn't make you lazy, your creating a scapegoat for your uncle turning into a slob.

  • Greeder you are wrong, blacks are the largest group imprisoned for drugs but are not the largest consumers of drugs:

and if the government is sincere in keeping african americans from becoming slaves again, why do they throw them in prison for it and make them build missles for 1.25$ an hour? Thats slavery to me.

  • I think this PSA was intentionally targeted towards Africans, since they are the biggest consumers of drugs (Call me racist all you want, but I saw the statistics)

  • How is this racist?

  • I don't think it's racist because it is aimed at blacks. Drugs and cracks destroy organization and mobilization, which were key to securing freedom for black people in America. The war on drugs might have been bullshit but crack cocaine is a new means of keeping poor people down.

  • this is just targeted advertising. narrowcasting. nothing racitst here.

  • Pause and inspect at :27 guy to far left is Latino. verdict? NOT racist.

  • well damn!! that's messed up but it's reality

  • LMAO

  • check this out : type in C.I.A drug trade to you search

  • I don't think it's racist at all it's true, drugs sedate and inslave people and the C.I.A ships it in. Look it up.

  • This is dumb, he praises the original black Americans and says not to dishonor them, I don't agree with the war on drugs but i don't see how it's "racist" (almost a meaningless term now).

  • Thats not racist, that just aimed at the African-American community. Racism would be if they said that all african-american people do drugs, but they didnt. They used historical fact to send a message to a certain demographic. And being a crack head is a lot like being a slave. I know, I've been there...

  • by calling it racist by the title of the video just gives you dislikes, I don't dislike the video but I dislike the title, it's not racist, faggot.

  • Do ecstasy and weed ;D its alot better

  • don't smoke crack kidz

  • where ever indians will go they will spread stupid fucking disease of extreme racism 'that is casteism(inferior by birth) so fuck all indian all over the world if they spread this dangerous disease of pre-medieval slavery and barbarian laws that one person is slave of another person / belong to lower caste , and also that but cows are more worthy of worship than humans , cows have higher than humans

Indians started racism much older than anyone on earth aroud 500 years ago

    by sankracharya

  • Not racist, asshole.

  • This is one of the few positive instances to use racism. Another one would be bad bargaining chips for terrorists.

  • This isn't racist, this is educational. This is actually fucking legit as hell.

  • legally enslaved, then economically enslaved, then enslaved by drugs. It's called "institutionalized racism" and it's invisible to most people. drugs seems to be a good way to hinder the civil rights movements, especially when the multi-tiered drug laws are in effect.

  • Dont become a slave to heroine and cocaine. Only smoke the ganja, a nontoxic and non physically addictive plant. Coca and opium are physically addictive and will make you a slave to the drug. Marijuana frees your mind but leaves you free of the nasty side effects seen in these terrible drugs. Staying away from them all including caffeine tobacco and alcohol would be the best idea but most of us need something to help us feel and think right.

  • @a1rh3add too bad cocaine and heroin are a million times better than weed

  • @PlowThrough8 That is a matter of opinion.

  • @commentmutant its sort of a fact. tha more addicting = the more better. like you dont obsess over an ugly girl but you could fuk her without messing up your scheduele but with a fine bitch youll miss your uncles funeral. same thing

  • @a1rh3add opium acctually isnt bad i never smoked or tryed it and iknow that

  • @a1rh3add coca is perfectly fine, its a plant too, just don't fuck with COKE or crack and you should be alright

  • @a1rh3add that's a lie... weed is addictive. period.

  • @chillymostG That's funny cuz I've known many wed smokers, none of whom was an addict. Also, the science says it is not addictive. And no, I don't smoke weed.

  • @chillymostG I am a regular pot smoker but I havent smoked weed in two weeks. I might this week but I'm still not sure if i will want to. Keep telling yourself that its addictive but it will never make it true. If you did this with nicotine, alcohol, heroine, coke, most legal pills or many other drugs you would suffer from withdraws. Marijuana does not have withdraw symptoms. period.

  • @a1rh3add My uncle was fucked up by maijuana. He was a handsome, smart man that was really good in sports before he took weed. Now, he is a 300 pound person who is mentally-ill person who just sits and watches tv and thinks the FBI is tapping his phone He was dead for a minute when they put him in the ER.

  • @ferrarist101 either you have been lied to or your a troll. It is scientifically impossible for weed to do that to someone, It has been proven over and over again. Get your facts strait.

  • @a1rh3add That's not true at all. Consistent use of marijuana makes you lazy, slow, apathetic, and makes you kinda look shitty. It can trigger schizophrenia and other dangerous mental illnesses like bipolar disorder. There are benefits for sure and no it doesn't kill people but it's not ALL GOOD.

  • @boatofcoins those rumors are not true, but I wouldnt expect truth from a known troll. Its funny that most people who spread those lies are trolls and have no objective except to piss people off with inflammatory comments. Thankyou for helping my cause.

  • @a1rh3add Duuuuuuuuuude. I'm not against weed but I know for a fact from my stoner friends and by my own example that in the long run it didn't help us. Legalizing it would be great but it's really not for everyone. It's great in moderation but a lot of people can't do that and become stoners.

  • @boatofcoins Can you provide some actual research behind these accusations? I'm just wondering where you're getting information that cannabis makes somebody "lazy, slow, apathetic" and makes you "look shitty", as all of these things directly contradict my experiences with the plant.

Also, the fact that it causes mental diseases can be easily disproven with a simple google search, such as here.

Please, educate yourself with facts before spreading propaganda. Peace & Pot.

  • @a1rh3add Alcohol and tobacco are up there in addiction potential with coca and opium products. Even caffeine can be highly addictive even if it doesn't have as many negative effects as cocaine, heroin, alcohol, and tobacco.

But yeah cannabis is far less addictive, and if you want to go even less addictive than the herb and you have a strong mind then lsd or mushrooms are there. But do be warned even though lsd and mushrooms are non-addictive be sure you have a good safe set and setting.

  • @FractalHolon Agreed, but i'm not going to support the casual sale of hallucinogens because of the risks involved. There are way too many irresponsible and stupid people out there who ruin a good thing. Those drugs should only be used with an experienced guide present. Sadly we live in a society where we cant have professionally trained guides and this lack of training leads to even more dangers than prohibiting their use so for now only trip with experienced people you can trust with your life.

  • @a1rh3add I agree that a type in-law shamanism would either way so trippers have guide. But at the same time too, the prohibition of psychedelics should definitely be removed. It's very doubtful popularity of psychedelics would go up like they did briefly during the 60s. Some people back then didn't fully know what they were getting themselves into especially with the much higher dose back then....and then the media took a few stories and went yellow journalism on them all.

  • Comment removed

  • @FractalHolon Or just don't use them at all? lol

  • @BradyLovesPipo If you want lol. It's all about personal choice.

  • @FractalHolon take another trip fool!

  • @volkscom For what exactly? I trip occasionally but I figure you think I should do something different in this next trip? I'de love to hear what it is.

  • @FractalHolon lol, take a trip, and go into the woods with a pellet gun and shoot birds!

  • @volkscom I think I would feel far too bad for the birds that I shoot especially if I'm tripping lol.

  • @FractalHolon Yeah, true that, that would be a bad trip. Well maybe go rock climbing!

  • @volkscom how random lol

  • @FractalHolon Lsd is addictive, look up the summer of love, and that'll show you just how bad lsd is. its a hard drug thats not meant to be taken lightly.

  • @Dylan54333 Sorry dude, but the summer of love is not a scientific test at all. Don't talk nonsense, giving misleading information to people is not cool at all. Lsd is a powerful drug, but by know means is it a "hard" drug by any stretch of the word. It's physically the safest substance known to man. And it's obvious that the attendeers of the summer of love were taking lsd because of it's good reputation, not for any retarded reason you try to conjure up.

  • @Dylan54333 It is impossible to become addicted to LSD. Once you take it, your tolerance to the drug builds up so fast that it will usually take anywhere from several days to weeks to be effective again.

  • @a1rh3add Smoking weed; Only bad thing about it is the heated plant matter than enters your lungs. Vaporizing weed: Only bad thing about it is...NOTHING!!

Although if you smoke weed habitually you will probably get fat and lazy.

  • This is a good PSA

  • This is true and it should be shown on television. If anything its helping promote how great the black culture can be.

  • not racist, just a very sobering truth.

  • The Jews controlled the African slave trade and the Dutch and Spaniards were just as bad as the British... this isn't just a British "white man" problem...

  • @MrSpemat Haha, that was actually pretty funny trolling! Good stuff!

  • sooooo true

  • the only white guy its the one pulling the chains and the narrator

  • 1. Where is the racism? 2. I thought the Union/'Democrat Party was the new slavery.

  • They never surrendered until they were free... yeah that's some racist.

  • @MasterNemesis102 I have no idea, I found it pretty inspirational honest. People think citing slavery or talking about blacks specifically means they're racist. It's ok to celebrate race, or talk about race. Not everything has to be homogenized generalistic stuff. People need to stop being afraid.

SLAVERY HAPPENED. ITS THE TRUTH. Talking about it, is not Racism. If anything, not talking about it is far worse.

  • They should bring this PSA back and run it in between Rap videos on BET.

    They still play videos, right?

  • i like this ad it speaks the truth

  • 90 % of colards is drug users,,,90 % of white people do whats right for them selfs & there family !,,,,

  • it's racist because it implies that African-Americans are the only ones doing drugs, and not other ethnic groups. Their example is valid because doing drugs is like being a slave; but, they shouldn't focus only on African-Americans.

  • Sorry but this isn't racist.

  • @360deeman: By your logic, if we tell Black people to do drugs then we're not racist? And it's "Nazi"? Are you on crack, 12, or retarded?

  • hahahaha

  • i think they were just using slavery as example, like "if you do drugs your a slave to them" or somethin along those lines

  • It's racist because a white person telling black people to not take drugs is racist and Nazi

  • @360deeman i understand racist but nazi? nazi's focused on jews

  • I wouldn't necessarily call this racist, just weird.

  • sooo a heroin addict is disornering slaves?

wtf?! are these assholes desperate to find something negative about HEROIN?

  • In no way is this racist.

  • this is like a slap to the face because bush sr used cocaine to fuel some war and purposely had it sold to black people

  • I like how they show a mean evil white dude throwing chains on the black people, considering other african tribes sold their own people into slavery.

  • @Bpowderr so all slaves came from african tribes selling other africans? and this means that white people weren't the main aggressors in the enslavement of africans? what are you trying to say? that black people as a whole are responsible for themselves being forced into slavery by white people?

  • @errskin Yes, basically.

  • yo idk I don't find this racist and it's pretty fuckin true. Most of the time drugs will just fuckin put you in cage.

  • @tryingtobeNaboo It's racist becuase the commercial is generalizing blacks only, not the hispanics, whites, etc. But I agree with you homie, dangerous drugs do put victims in it's cage!

  • @tryingtobeNaboo I cannot agree more. Plus, that line is right -- drug abuse *is* the new slavery. :)

  • Way to connect two totally unrelated problems...

  • How is this racis? Everybody knows that crack and coke was introduced to the inner cities in the early 80's just to target black people. Now you got someone that made a PSA to warn black people about the dangers of these drugs and you want to call it racist. WTF

  • THAT'S RACIST!!!

  • Haters gonna hate.
