They can go fairly high, usually cruise around 12,000 feet. Yes we are as close to the hills as it looks, one of the approaches to Nelson takes you through a valley and you are below hilltop and close to ridges. Only in the daytime in fine weather though :-)
You got me there, just remembered it was the aisle with the emergency exits in, the hostess asked me if I minded being in it in case of needing to open the door in an emergency. You might find a seating plan somewhere. What you can do is check in electronically at Wgton, I don't know if you can choose your seats but might be worth a look if you're flying sometime soon.
Couldn't tell you the exact number, for some reason 8 is in my head. Starboard side behind the engine anyway. Unfortunately my digital only has limited video capability, I do have a couple of good vids on VHS from my old camera though, and have just recently got a neat toy for converting VHS analogue to digital so will get them on sometime. Thanks for watching.
Great vid, those planes don't go very high do they, I though you guys nearly hit that hill at 1.40

I loved that first contact of the wheels on the RWY! Beautiful. Great scenery too, of what you caught on tape! Great!
