As I watched the video, I could not believe someone knew what I am going through on a daily bases. The only thing I did not hear is what happens when you think the employer or executive may be promoting the bully boss (BB) behavior. I have tried to address my issues with the BB with the executive only to have her claim she supervised the BB to act in the ways she does. I felt the executive had something against me personally. I have been in this situation for 8 years because of family.
I would tell the boss's boss a few times. I would leave. You can get unemployment. most ppl are not starving--they just want alot. Yuo can always find another job--it might not pay as much--but u will have your dignity intact by the time you come home. Be nice and if they do not listen, kick them to the curb. Fuck them.
giving me excessive task and unrealistic goals and sets up for failure by low staffing while i work and then has the audacity to ask how come this didnt get done
how about this one what you do when you have a bully boss that also fears a coworker thats a complete slacker i have tried leaving the boss refuses to give me a decent recommendation because he needs me but wont admit it but likes to keep me where im at not move up just be the deptment bitch
It passed almost two years until i realized i was bullied by my boss. Then once i had a physical confrontation with him almost going violent. After that i threatened him that he was going to pay for touching me (that was all i needed). He not only stopped bullying me, he also avoided me whenever possible. After that i started a frightening campaign, spreading the word that i was going to kill him (or hurt him really bad) when i get the chance. He vanished. All this in a design studio! Its life!
Linda C. McCrae, you had no right stealing my friends SS# off of the tuition form and using for your own lowdown hateful means. I only blame Daniel J. Rader, MD for participating and continuing the workplace harassment. But the genesis of this harassment started with you Linda C. McCrae, right after your month long sick leave in August of 2006.
@MrFaisel34 You are setting yourself up for a libel / slander lawsuit. Naming names online, especially towards someone very bullying and vindictive will only bite you in the a**.
I don't think so at all. You have never had to walk in my friends shoes. You don't know how lowdown, vindictive, hateful and ruthless the psychopath Daniel J. Rader or how manipulative, cunning and devious the smiley face Linda C. McCrae can be. You are seeing the situation as a third party removed with total emotional disinterest.
I can tell you are not a lawyer. You know how? It is only libel and slander if IT IS NOT TRUE WHAT I SAY.
Also, my friend is not worried, he has consultation and backing. Do you know why this information is even posted on YouTube for all to see? Definitely not to get even, because my friend had moved on. But because Daniel J. Rader persisted with harassment-by-proxy outside the workplace using University resources. Daniel has a lot of pretentious titles by his name, and he earned an "MD". He truly believes this makes him better and smarter than anyone else.
Linda C. McCrae, I don't appreciate you setting my friend in the line of fire of the head psychopath Daniel J. Rader, MD. You were first of the three people to specifically tell me that Daniel J. Rader was a psychopath, although I didn't believe it at first.
Some workplace psychopaths tell lies to manipulate employees into turning against you so they can control you. Some workplace psychopaths take control to the extreme by constantly keeping tabs on an employee their targeting. They can resort to negating everything you say. Minimizing your contribution, taking disciplinary action for reasons that don't warrant it., Frustrating you with unwanted assignments, busy work or narrow mindedness and gossip about you.
Some workplace psychopaths (WP) insist on employees following their instructions to the letter. They don't allow thinkers to think, because they might be upstaged. WP are uncomfortable with intelligent forthright employees who say things as they see them. These free thinking employees are not afraid to speak their minds. This is a huge risk for psychopaths, because they may perceive you as putting their jobs at risk and so their survival instinct kicks in and you are put in the line of fire.
This is very good! My boss is very knowledgeable in her position, in fact she got a promotion, she's like a go to person for everything. Since she got her promotion, she started to talk down to her director. She is the boss from hell, she makes a horrible boss and everyone including the HR, UNION and all the other managers in different departments are afraid of her. My boss actually stated that she is the SUPERWOMAN and BATWOMAN of the company.
Your description of a bully boss hit the nail on the head. I am in this unfortunate position for the first time in my working life. I am an older worker in a Texas state agency. The HR manager told me to sit up straight, look him in the eye & say I want to be a team player. Thank you for the book suggestion.
And you are not living in the real world .... yeh right.. there is a plague of bosses going around with busted knee caps? and what are you a feeble person typing words into a computer, that's all you are, unless you can actually be intelligent, playing with your tommy gun at an age when you should have outgrown it - shut the fuck up - watched this video for real and want "real answers" not screwed up fuckers answers. And certainly not people who want to inflict physical pain onto others.
Thursday 04/03/2010, they denied telling me that I could not come back to work until I had clearance from a Physychiatrist and about my leave and Centrelink.
What do you do, if you let Management know you have a problem with a Supervisor & you ask for Mediation before the situation gets out of hand. Management refuse to offer mediation, unless something else happens. You make them aware that you are unable to stand being in the same room as this person. You placed a Team Meeting that this person is a part of, with no advice that they would be in attendance. You have an anxiety attack, right there & then in front of your peers and leave the room.
To add to this. Then you are forced to stay away from work, until you are given clearance from a Psychiatrist. Then told that maybe you should consider taking all leave accrued and then going to Centrelink after that. Just lucky for me, I got clearance.
We don't have that same process here thankfully - but then in the same breath, I am currently working with a woman who - until now has being bullying a younger employee - she doesn't see herself as a bully - doesn't see her actions as intimidating etc. but it is - and now that I've raised the issue she now has to direct it to me - she either has to take me down or accept she is and has been a bully - a bully won't accept they are a bully unless they experience reality big time - wish me luck.
Take action against workplace bullying. Management will not solve this problem. They are the problem. Politicians and lawmakers have to take action. Canvas them. There are petitions available through the internet. Find live petitions against workplace bullying and sign them. Alternatively submit your own petition.
@dierjran Management don't care how bosses produce. They just want them to produce. When these bosses produce, management is ok. They could careless about the mistreatment.
The founding fathers wrote the constitution with the idea that majority will prevailed only in public for political affairs and that it was LIMITED BY INALIENABLE, INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS. Therefore, I do not believe that the majority should vote a mans LIFE, PROPERTY, OR FREEDOM AWAY FROM HIM. And therefore I do not believe that if the majority votes on an issue, it does not make it RIGHT.
im a young employee and im being bullied by my boss who is the owner of her own business and she is displaying most of these tactics. this video really put it into perspective for me thanks.
I am being bullied by my boss right now. I have to follow her instructions to a T. I have a learning disability in which I have to learn a new way to do my job. But she constantly critizes me about how I am purposely not following her. I'm afraid to tell her about my problem because she might fire me.
Don't tell her. Mention you are a little "forgetful" and you try to follow directions as much as possible. If they continue bullying you should consider looking for another job elsewhere!

Report as a team - executives don't believe
Executives fear the bully
Bully receives meaningless tap on wrist.
"Snap" suddenly - criticizes (bipolar) - a living hell
palpably waiting for the next attack - she makes her rounds.
Vicious
no innovation / customer service suffers / good employees leave / self-preservation / loss in productivity (crying / counseling one another).
Hawaiiansky11 6 months ago
uncomfortable with intelligent employees who feel free to speak their minds.
Do not like new ideas.
Make veiled or unveiled threats.
Constantly keeping tabs - calling frequently, accusatory overtones.
relentless - nothing you say is right, then when you try to stand up for yourself, mildly, they CRY to HR and make you look bad.
Condescending - judging, labeling, tension among everyone on the team.
Employees avoid - feels trapped - behavior worsens when confronted
repercussions +++
