2nd vid up now, and 3rd being edited, fibre is now lit and working enabling 2 homeworkers to engage in digital britain and a farmer and farm contracting business. Power to the people.
the black wire is the fibre optic, it was direct dug with the mole plough and only ducted under gateways. It is has 12 fibres in it each one capable of taking half the uk internet through it. mega capacity and futureproof. Digging through the bluebell wood now to next property, just stopped for butties and brews...
thanks for the comments, diggers here again now to go through bluebell wood to rural homeworker, will post more vids when we get time. Power to the people.
Rural Britain has waited far too long for true broadband. This video shows the 'dig where you live' principle in full flow. The fibre optics being laid will bring broadband at the speed of light to rural farms, homes, businesses and communities. Not 10, or 50, or 100Mbps, but 1Gbps. And guaranteed for the next 20 years and more.
Digital Britain needs to be here today, not 2012 or beyond. And this is it happening! Well done to everyone. So pleased to see the FTTH JFDi crew at work.
great to see a community in action

Great! That's clear.
But is everyone capable to do that? Do we need special trainings, like how to protect fiber, how to splice or split fiber, etc?

This is a great deployment concept!
In the end of the video, is the black wire fiber optical cable or just a duct?
