I really hope they bring back the virus plotline back because now there is an alternate future where everyone has abilities and I want to know that all those episodes about peter coming back from the future at the beginning of season 2 wasn't wasted.
Either way, nathan had to go at the end of season 2
Pandora's box doesn't make sense at all. who was she calling? and even in the real clip, if future peter shoots nathan, why would angelia blame someone else for it
there is no way she could have been talking to future peter because she was calling as she watches it live on tv and calls someone as future peter is making his escape
It would've made Season 2 cool but now we only have 11 episodes with start but without an ending.
NBC should've brought Season 2 back after the strike for at least 6 episodes (enough to wrap up Exodus volume) and then push Villains to Season 3 like they did.
watching this ending now makes me laugh. It was very poor paced, with overly-linear dialogue and the music was poorly chosen. That scene with Nathan's speech sucked shit. I laughed really hard when he was on the ground, as the music made it soo horrible.
I don't know about you but I think that the show was better off moving itself forward like it did.
Question: What would rather; More boring virus plotline, or "Villains" (good Sylar, Evil Peter, Arthur Petrelli. sub-zero Nikki)
I would really like to see how the story progresses from here...I like this ending. I don't know why people keep complaining about season 2, I don't see anything wrong with it. I kinda liked it.
The writer's strike wrecked this; this wouldn't have been a season ender, it'd have been a mid season ender. This was actually really awesome and took the whole plot into high gear; it'd made people see S2 very differently.
there are many forgotten things such as the eclipse hasnt been mentioned or sshown in a while, peters girlfriend, claire shows no concern that her real father is nathan in season 2 and 3, claire shouldve been WAY more surprised the way sylar was workign with her father and her father would have been way more overprotective workign with him, many other examples but i cant think at the top of my head. btw the bridge was where hrg got shot =] and claude also
Even more boring than the original. 8min and what happens? Nothing. A lot of talking around with very little forwarding of the plot (as for ALL of season 2), Mr Boohoo whiner Peter whining some more and a story of quarantine straight out of House, ER, or other stupid medical shows... nothing to do with Heroes.
i'm with jabsie. so what, they went on strike and made us wait for 9 extra months. sure i was pissed but this would have been one hardcore cliffhanger for me. the redone version, yeah it was rushed and has gone in a much different route. now we're dealing with villains instead of the the outbreak of the deadly virus. this version would have been better to air instead
The main difference is that the virus is released, Nathan dies of the disease instead of getting shot and then later revived in season 3 (yeah, I know, bullshit), Hiro doesn't feel like a Hero at the end, and Matt probably would have died of the disease later on. Plus, it would have made season 3 totally different.
I don't know, future peter? I'm kind of disillusioned now that they threw out the entire powers come from the brain/DNA thing with that "OMG adrenal gland juice gives you the ability to fly" garbage that they're throwing around now.
Well, they didn't completely throw it away. I mean, Sylar takes the brains of victims to learn their abilities... thus, their abilities lie in their brains/DNA.
DNA determines everything in a person, which is why Adrenal function would also be affected. Take up a course in genetics before you start pretending to know what you're talking about.
The point being that the power was inside the brain (fair assumption as Sylar accesses the brains) but now it's coming from the adrenal gland. Regardlesss, this is an open discussion, and I'm fairly sure 99% of people who visit YouTube have not undertaken a genetics course, but all opinions are valid, as they're OPINIONS!
Or, the brain is controlling what types of enxymes/signals are being fired through the system when the adrenal functions begin, thus by looking at their brains Sylar can achieve the exact same functions in his own - which can be explained, seeing as how normal humans only use 10% of their brains. Secondly, in a duel of opinion vs. fact, fact will always win.
And for an idiot, I seem to know a whole lot more than you! How does it feel to lose to an idiot?
Are you talking about the lost episodes? I'm not sure that this ending would've been the best option for the series. It's probably better that the writer's strike happened so that things could transpire differently. We have known about most of those facts for a while now. With eleven more days and counting, we remember what happened on this day, seven years ago.
That was kinda cool in that ending nathan and nicki both died a heroes death. even the info found on netflix shows that Ali's character is still on the credits. same for that pasdar dude. for proof go the netflix and type in heroes season three and click on the dvd title and on a ou related note sorta i love kristin bell Elle IS SHOCKING hahaha
Season 3 is all about bad guys. A hole bunch of them. 12 to be exact ;) most of have small roles.3 have big roles. not a theory , a fact. There is a jail that holds all these villains. they break out and start using there powers to do evil shit. Kinda like sylar does.I havent seen this but ive read a script
ehh this ending is boring if they ended it like this season 3 would just be a bunch of episodes explaining what the virus is..wheres the action and hiro can just go back in time and stop it so its retarded to end it like this even tho hiro could go back in time and stop the shooter but ehh i wanna know who the killer is
true but they already aired the first hour of season 3 at comic con, and....
...it opens with Claire trying to shoot Peter in the future but he goes all Hiro Nakamura on her ass and goes back to current time and shoots Nathan to prevent whatever causes Claire to want to shoot him, which is obviously Nathan revealing the existence of the people with abilities.
Season 3 premiere ruined, your welcome. Share my pain.
I think they should have completely changed the story by having something happen so Season 2 NEVER happens, maybe if they have it as a sidestory for volume 3
actually, im glad the writers strike caused them to change the ending. I mean, when Nathen was shot, it was a much better surprise and allows the writers to build on that man who shot him. Season 3 wouldn't have a very good story line with this ending in my opinion.
I like this ending. I think the newer ending they chose was more fit to the end. because as explained before had they went with this ending they would have had to explain the history of the virus and it would have drug the story out too far.
Wow...this ending would have been sooo much better!!! OH btw. could it be Elle or Claire Sylar is holding up on the wall at the beginning/BEFORE the alterate Ending starts?
omg this ending was so much better than the way it ended! Although, there's the whole problem with the fact that they could just go back in time and stop Adam from dropping the virus to begin with. But still, I would've much preferred to see this ending than the other one.
Season 2 was actually supposed to be two volumes, and this was the original ending that would have led into the 3rd Volume (originally all about the Shanti virus and the like). But because of the writer's strike they had to make Villains, originally Volume 4, be Volume 3 and shoot a new ending, which is the one we saw on TV.
Where did u find that out? I knew they had to scrap Exodus for Villains because of the strike, but i didnt know Exodus was the fallout from the shanti virus being relseased.
Season 2 would've looked much better as a completed story WITH Exodus
villians was always voulume 3 but it had a different direction they were going to go with it. *MY SPECULATION*: the villians would have most likely been a product of the virus which is not as cool as them already being villians.
why would they completely change the name of a volume? even with the strike volume 3 could have been Exodus. Villians is and has always been planned as volume 3. Exodus may be one of the episodes of season 3. I will find out and get back 2 ya.
The thing is, because of the strike they had to cut the season in half. It's true that Villains was always supposed to be SEASON 3, but it would be VOLUME 4. Generations and Exodus, as Volumes 2 and 3, were both supposed to be part of the second season, unlike the first volume, which took up the entire season.
yeah "Genesis" Volume 1 took up season 1 and Volume Two "Generations" volume three "Villians" and volume four "?" would have made up season 2. I am not saying that I know al there is to know but if exodus was actually to be volume 3 then prove me wrong. give me a link to a website or magazine article
Volume 3 was supposed to be named Exodus with this virus storyline, and volume 4 villains. But due to the change in the ending, they had to drop the whole volume and skip to the next one.
nah, i like the version where he gets shot, because they are revealing to the world that theres people with special abilities out there. but in this on its just a virus.
Well they had to scrap it cos of the WGA Strike. But I'm pretty sure that the "Powerless" that had been originally planned would've been able to move the show back in it's proper direction. Sadly, it's not meant to be. We'll just have to see how "Villains" plays out I guess.
Oooooo. That was really ethically questionable what Matt did, but I love watching it. I liked this because it wasn't as rushed and I LOVED the bigger role Nathan got. He needs more attention. But at the same time I don't know where they would have gone after this. I'm glad the virus storyline is over.
Now THAT is more like it. Dude, that was almost on par with the awesomeness from Season 1, and DEFINITELY makes up for all the silliness that went on in the start of Season 2.
That felt waaay less rushed than the version they ended up airing...although Peter's "I missed you, MAN" just makes me snort. Very glad they didn't use the line like that.
