@nicothegreat795 Very much so, it was to give the cavalryman extra reach against an infantryman considering that being so high up on a horse puts you at a reach disadvantage.

Wouldn't a straight blade tend to get stuck when used from horsemount? I thought that was the reason sabres are typically curved?

@AKlover if you stab with it, sword used on horseback wre generally used in a slashing motion
