I love the point she makes here. A lot of artists--and just people in general--feel as if everything they consume has to be of the utmost quality, or else they become embarrassed and feel as though they are not refined enough.

I am not ashamed to say that I watch some of the crappiest reality shows, listen to the most basic and inane pop music, and go to see extremely childish, potty-humor comedies. And you know what? It is where I get a good deal of my inspiration as an artist.
