I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Benz Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Mercedes vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and EFi injectors clean as new!

When I see this and then think about the "everything looks the same" garbage we have to settle for now with all those stupid useless gadgets, I want to hurl or cry, or both.
TO BUILD A TODAYS PORSCHE 911 costs 35.000 Euros but they sell it for 150.000!!
todays cars are build like plastic toys meeting cheap notebooks (100% China made beyound the body!!)
but the earnin gs of the companies are giant!! GIANT GIANT buliding such a beatyfull no gimmicks pure class car like this would cost 1 Mio Dollars each car and they had to sell it for 3 Million!
Whaouu ! one of my favorite car; Italians are good ! perhaps one day I will get one but in cabriolet...as the blue one that we can see in the french movie of De Funès..."Le petit baigneur" !
Che gioielli che facevamo...ne ho vista una in Germania, una cabrio guidata da una signora sulla cinquantina...tutti si son girati e strabuzzavano gli occhi.

very funny is that a well tuned VR6 ENGINE from VW
can sound allmost similar than DINO,
please compare and type:
VR6 Krasse Testfahrt von Danilo
into the search field of youtube :)

Dino050403, I am sorry for you, but in your Country they were never able to even approach the beauty of our cars. Envy is bad, you know?
