I have the Nokia 5530, the 5800 and the iPhone 3Gs. In some ways, 5530 is better, in other ways, 5800 is better, and in some other ways, the iPhone is better. What I like most of these phones are the following: (1) The Nokia 5530 has a very good screen resolution, you can actually see the real colors, and another thing is that it has a lot of home screen shortcuts. (2) The Nokia 5800 is good at GPS Navigations. (3) The iPhone is really good when it comes to speed. I have never seen it lag.

I'm facing some problems with my Nokia 5530 Xpress Music phone with its Message Vibration Alert and its tone. I'm not able to receive the alert for the incoming messages and the handset. It's fine with the other things like calls. It does not even have the message icon at the top of the screen. Please anybody help, any assistance is much appreciated.

@bryanwoo94 go to menu,settings,personal,profile­s,silent,personalise,vibrating alert and put it on ''on''.

if you want alert tone on general do the same thing again except go to general,personalise,click ur ringing tone box and a lot of tones shud come up,den set ur ringing volume nd u shud be fine:D

The only things I like in iPhone is it's game experience and capacitive touch screen... The speaker is too weak, is too expensive, can't bluetooth with others cellphones... With the same price of iPhone I do prefer Satio, xperia x10, n900... =P

I have the 5530 and its amazing! It fell more than 5 times ( 1 meter higher than the ground ) and not even a scratch was there!! it works amazingly,, i hear alot of people complaining about touch screen phone's but the 5530 is simply amazing!!!!

It has a very good screen : You don't have to push very hard on the screen and it's easy to use.

Oh my god I hate this phone (bought mine last week) Few useful apps on the OVI store which doesn't really matter since the phone locks up all the time. Touchscreen is mediocre at best. Voice dialing is USELESS in anything but a quiet room - the synth voice is terrible. Have to reboot the phone to change Wi-Fi connections. It's relatively cheap compared to an iPhone but bleh... Mine's going back as soon as I can print out the UPS label

you can disagree with my comments - maybe I got a bad headset, but the voice dialing with headset was useless. Price here in the US has gone down from $379 to $130 after rebate - I think it's a lemon. Phone gets slower and slower the more applications you load on it. Ovi store SUCKS! Resistive touchscreen - meh... Glad you like your phone, I hated mine. Got full refund from vendor, they said they had many many many returns of same model. Take that for whatever it is worth.

depends....if u dont want the internet then yeah, but the internet on the 5800 aint all that good anyway. The only phone out that is great for browsing is the iphone personally. The rest dont really match up. Anyways its not worth spending so much on a phone anyway, new ones come out all the time so your always gonna be behind somehow.

erm the only difference between the 5530 and the 5800, is the 5800 has 3G internet and the maps whilst the 5530 uses wifi and doesnt have the maps. So its good for people who want a solid phone at a good price.

5800 so long in development that it didn't get the 432MHz or 600Mhz proc that most of the new Nokias(including 5530) got and more refined UI.

The official anounced price is 199e before tax (unlocked). I guess this is specificly meant for emerging market. China, the biggest single market for nokia, doesn't have a stable 3G network yet. 2G is still the 1st option there.

You can already have a facebook link on the 5800 if you use the app shortcut standby mode, and then customise the shortcuts to include the Facebook app.

The 5530 standby is combining the 5800's app standby with the 5800's contacts standby into one mode, so hopefully the 5800 will get that same kind of combined view in a firmware update.

The 5530 doesn't launch until September, there's plenty of time for more 5800 updates before then.
