Is this the clip that was shown on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert? I saw it as a kid of 13, and it really took me places. Never quite saw rock music the same way again.
Managed to get a set of Alan White's drumsticks at a concert in Toronto back in the late 70's! Met Jon Anderson in my small Northern Ontario town (with my 14 year old son) just about this time last year while he was on a solo tour...what a show and awesome experience!
LOVE THIS thanks so much for posting saw them at BOSTON GARDEN in the late 70's. UNREAL STAGING AND LIGHTING!!! HIGHEST STANDARDS! Thanks for posting, more love!
I saw Yes in SanDiego early 1973.............Black Sabbath headlined (I think they were still calling it the Paranoid tour eventhough Vol 4 had just came out) ......and another group called Wild Turkey..............that was the loudest concert I ever went to........
I Found a near mint condition Album at Randy's Records in Salt Lake City Utah. Yes was one of the best back in the 70's. Love this song.. "Send an instant comment to me"....Hmmmmm good idea guys! :)
@d59870 screw the fashion, it's the music that counts, groups like Kiss ruined rock when they made the show, the lights, the make up and glitter more important than making decent music, that's why i absolutely hate Kiss!!!!!
Bill bruford was good on drums, but hey , Alan White is just great , he made a master performance in RELAYER, as for Chris Squire I think he was under rated, but he is the essence of the band, one of the best. Between Wakemann and Patrick Moraz , hard to tell who is more versatile.; no wonder it took the band one year looking for someone the size of Wakemann until Moraz join the band. Then you have Howe, well I trully believe he was born with a guitar tied in his umbilical cord, out of ths world
First, my 61 year old sister saw Yes open for ELP in 1972 in SF, and left after Yes played. 20 years her younger brother and we have the closest relationship of all of the intermediate siblings because of our passion for Yes...... Just watch the maniacal jamming of Alan White in this concert!! Purely spirtitual.........
@bds1167 you should have stuck around to see ELP, if you liked Jon Anderson's singing, you would have also loved Greg Lake's voice on songs like Lucky Man and Still you Turn Me On"
YES...there it is, all that could be asked for and then given w/out nary more than of an blink of effortlessness. Shear unmitigated raw & pure talent, eloquence, power. Yet all the while sinnewy, whilst charged w/eclectic velvety. One of the rarest forms of musical magic potions...YES, thru it's genius, will live on...long after them...and us.

Why someone would have limited their experience to seeing just one great band when they might've seen two is beyond me.

I saw them in Tulsa Okla 30 years ago, in "the round" they were all there and it was truly a top 5 concert! They were incredible live.
