  • I found if you put them in a blender it make it easier to grind.....

  • certainly. A coffee/ spice grinder is ideal. nice tip! KtC

  • I make alot of herbal capsules... Wasn't ready to buy a grinder yet... I poured the herbs in the blender turned it on and I couldn't believe it ground them into a powder so that I could encapsulate them...

  • I tried my blender after reading this, it came out a bit course (as opposed to a fine powder). I asked a friend and their blender produced powder. I guess mine isn't up to it. Thanks for sharing. nice tip! KtC

  • I notice the high end blenders grind it into a powder... I have a real heavy duty blender... the kind that lasts 30 years.... really.... it's over thirty years old and still look new... I even ground up some oats for a facial and some barley to make barley flour.....

  • My mum has an older one. Still working well. Need to shop for a new one :)

  • You should make a kooktocook CookBook + DVD set. You would make a killin'!

  • lol

If I am entertaining or informative :) then I am happy. I get a meal or two paid for by the YT partner thingy. (any publishers/ food shows out there watching??)

thank you, I appreciate your support! KtC

  • i am going to use this seasoning with the 'Blanch' Roasted Potatoes.....looking forward to eating them :)

  • A good mix for the potatoes. Add salt to taste if you want. Thanks, KtC

  • Hey man, what is that "savoury"?

  • a herb, also 'savory'

    cheers! KtC

  • I knew you'd have some oregano in there :)

  • lol

  • it's funny you post these because 5-6 days ago I went looking at recipes for seasonings like Italian, Cajun and Poultry on google. They were similar to these, if not the same recipes, go KtC!

  • lol 'I read your thoughts'.....

Yep common ingredients. I have a creole mix posted and a few others (jerk, tandoori, eastern), not sure, many. cheers! KtC

  • Looks good man! I miss my old mortise/pestal!! I had a huge black/grey marble one. I found that a lil salt in it helps..It grinds up faster (salt's abrasive) and it can add a lil something to a wicked spice mix. ; D Cool vid man.thanx!

  • All these blends work with about a tbsp of Kosher salt (ground fine). I suppose that is the untold 'secret'. Nonetheless, start with the seasoning and yep, add salt to taste. great tip mate! cheers, KtC

  • Meh...... you have approval from the GodFather.CIAO

  • lol I appreciate the 'pass'. This is another good one to share. A simple combo that works great on everything. I have omitted the salt from these seasonings because I think in most cases it is not necessary. Again at least you know what is in it! thanks boss, cheers! KtC
