Great vid, but do you know how to deactivate it. Please reply!!!! I accidentally set the code up for the exit button and whenever I press exit, it fast forwards. I tried to fix it by setting the code up on the hd zoom button, but it just fast forwards on both buttons now. Please help because I will get in trouble by my parents. How do I take it off the exit button?

I had cable tv and satellite for years but I just couldn't stand the massive amounts of spam that tv has now. It's gotten really bad, I had even worked for DirecTV at one point and we constantly got memo and talking points about the spam and when it was increasing. Anyhow long story short I became a pirate back in 1999, and now I just use western digital WTV which supports all codecs so it's sorta a set top box for pirates by pirates so to speak. I stream torrents and icefilms dot info to my tv

I've got the same remote and DVR, but when I push the setup button, the cable button lights up 5 times instead of 2. After that, the rest of the process does not work at all unfortunately,

Looks like a great tip, but how does one 'start' the feature? Push '>' to FastForward? or push the 'unused HD zoom' button?, when a commercial comes on? Or does it just recognize commercials and FF automatically without pushing any buttons to 'start' the feature?

When watching a recorded program, you push the hd zoom button when a commercial comes on and it skips 30 seconds ahead, keep pushing until your show comes back on.

It only works on digital cable with the motorolla dvr.
