IMHO this boss was too early in the game. When I started this I was like "WTF is happening? Am I falling? Oh ridley has wings so I can't be falling. Can I move? Yea, but very slightly." In a third person game this would be ok, but 3rd person? Na'ah.

Ridley = best Nintendo villain ever. I loved the intensity of this battle, and the entire prelude to it with Ridley tormenting you while you were in morph ball mode. The whole idea of a boss battle while freefalling rocked, I died a few times my first time because that fight was the first huge test of your Wiimote skills. Needless to say I failed the test like,,, 4 times. Stupid timer.

I'm glad they gave Ridley one of Nintendo's more intense and innovative boss battle concepts.

Most of the bosses in this game were way easy. Long, but easy. I had trouble with Rundas and the battle with Ridley in the freefall, only because with Rundas I started the battle with one energy tank and with Ridley I ran out of time.
