@MrRicardoSpears There was initially an offer to the season 1 cast to return when Charles in Charge entered first-run syndication. However, the actress playing Mrs. Pembroke was offended by the salary being offered (which was considerably lower) while the actor playing Douglas was shooting a show with ABC and was unavailable. So instead of a broken family scenario, the Pembroke family was written off and the Powells were brought in. Watch the season 2 episode "Amityville".
