The merger of Lockheed with Martin Marietta happened in 1995, not 1955 as it says at the beginning of the video...might not seem like a big deal, but it is 40 years off.
My husband joined Lockheed in 1980, things changed dramatically since the Martin merger. Everyone was either cut from jobs, or took major price cuts to stay on. My (now)ex-husband was one and still is there, but always is fearful for the next cut.
I wanted him to leave (since our hard earned money was sent to foreign lands). We split up after 17 and a half years. I still love him. Anyway, he wanted to stay for the retirement, like many do.
that is the SR-71 blackbird was a supersonic high altitude spy plane during the cold war. It was one of the fastest planes to fly. The Retired from active duty in 1990 but were reactivated a few times during the 90s and the last flight of an SR-71 was on Oct.9,1999.
Report to US congress 2007 (GAO-07-406SP on page 78):
The F22 have at least 2 structural problems:
- The F22 have cracks in the aircraft's aft boom where the horizontal tail attaches to the fuselage.
-The F22 have cracs in "titanium casting" materials near the engine.
A key reliability requirement for the F-22A is a 3-hour mean time between maintenance, but but right now the mean time between maintenance of the F22 is LESS than 1 hour! The F22 is junk, its very unreliable!
cool my grandpa was the Flight test engineer on all the c-130s and dida bunch of other things including working in the skunk works ive also haved a bunch of other family work there including my cousin who is working on The JSF
Your timing has majorly improved. Excellent work. And, don't worry about the NOTE use. It just keeps me out of trouble with those who think I am looking to get any credit for the vid material, when all I need is cred for the vid work itself. That is my only claim.

I wonder what they haven't shown us yet. F-22 raptor is by far the most awesome jet built by the hands of man. Its a work of art.
