Edge of Darkness was the first Mel Gibson movie (as an actor) since 2003 and it was great. Some things were shocking and intriguing and even thrilling. Mel is very talented actor and did a great job here. He was as impressive as Jodie Foster in The Brave One. Now I hope to see more and more new films with Mel

I would doubt the ability of the American Movie Machine to capture the subtlety of the original BBC drama or of the ability of Mel Gibson to express the bond between farther and daughter as Bob Peck did in the original. Sometimes a story needs to be told slowly and with a level of complexity that requires the audience to concentrate, this movie is a very pale reflection on the original.

Grace, What did you think of Apocalypto? I really didnt think it was necessary for it to be in a foreign language. I liked how Passion of the Christ was in a different language because it is such an epic film based on an extraordinary true event but the fact that Apocalypto is just a simple movie it doesnt need to be like that. It is like having The Devil Wears Prada in Russian or something, there is no point. Thanks

I understand why someone whose done something very egregious gets some scorn from the movie, but unless a celebrity does something extremely reproachable in my opinion, I will still watch their movies, listen to their music, and so on. I don't know why people expect celebs to be perfect/superhuman. I don't go goo goo ga ga over any celebs, I don't care to know their personal lives. Unless who they are is tied heavily to their persona (as with Michael Moore), I don't care.
