I've had my Persian cat for a near 10 years and I just comb her maybe twice a week? Never had to shave her fur, not saying that there's anything wrong with Cooper, but it does look a little odd >_<

@IamNoonie Actually my longhaired cats hardly shed compared to my shorthaired cats. If you COMB them regularly there's never a need to get them shaved. A cat's fur insulates it from both heat and cold so it's actually pretty cruel to shave them to the skin.
