I've had Cerebral Palsy and been blind since birth and in 2004 had a spinal cord injury and 99% of the "problems" or "issues" I've ever had wasn't about if I could do something, but the attitudes I got from people saying I couldn't without even asking me or letting me prove to them that I could.

So much of this is totally avoidable if people didn't have such close minded attitudes and would give people a chance to prove themselves.

Danielle, you are such an inspiration for me! I am a second year nursing student right now and I was born the exact same way you were only I am missing my left hand. I have met with my nursing teachers about getting accommodations and they seem very excited about helping me in any way possible. It is a shame that your school was not supportive of you, but you still turned out to be an amazing nurse. Thank you so much for giving me hope to never give up! What was the most difficult task to learn?

People can be so ignorant. My dad lost the use of his hips from a childhood bone disease. I remember him on crutches all my life. I also remember him throwing the crutches on the ground, scaling a ladder, and welding antique iron pieces into sculptures. Our daughter has Autism and MR. Please check out my vids above. People are only as limited as their beliefs.
