Pippen holds the record for most injuries and I think he's ahead of Bobby Jackson by 15 injuries Theres no way he was anywhere near as dominant as Shaq. Shaq was by far the best player on the lakers during the 3 peat. No question about it. Do you even watch Jordan? He was unstoppable. You had 12 guys and a coach vs Michael Jordan, trying to stop him. Kobe only led the NBA 3 TIMES in Shots Attempted, and 3 times in Shots made as well. Jordan was more of a ballhog than Kobe, by far. MJ attempted over 1900 shots 4 times and Kobe only once. And Kobe is better from 3pt land, since day one. Stop hating if you can't back it up, hater. Jordan only averaged .7 APG more than Kobe has til now.
The problem with your argument is that you list only shot attempts, and not the percentage of those attempts that are made. Jordan made a much higher percentage of his shots than Kobe does, so why shouldn't he shoot more? Kobe has never even finished a season over 47% shooting, Jordan shot over 51% in 6 different seasons, that's nearly half of his career. MJ can go on fire and dominate a team that is basically trying to break his bones with fouls and end up with more attempts than Kobe's bricks.
Yeah, but the problem with that is that if you take into account the fact that Kobe has attempted almost 2000 more 3ptrs and STILL has a better 3pt% than Jordan did for his career, it is pretty obvious that Jordan's range was limited more than Kobe's and therefore he shot closer to the basket and a higher percentage. Still, for his career Jordan's eFG% (effective FG%) was only 50.9% (32.7% 3p with only 581/1778 3pt) while Kobe's is 48.6% for his career ( with 1086/3192 3ptm 34.0%).
In fact, taking into account everything, which is what the eFG% does, Kobe only finished once with a season below 47% (1997-98 at 46.9%). But Jordan's fadeaway, while deadly, was not as deadly from as far out as Kobe's and Kobe's all around offensive game IS better than Jordan's. He only averages .7APG fewer than Jordan and this is without a season where Jordan amazing averaged 8 APG. Take away that one season, which was an aberration and Jordan's APG is lower than Kobe's, too.
It is also easy to shoot ove r50% when you never venture outside of 20 Ft for the first half of your career and you take OVER 60% of tour TEAMS' FGAs 4 times (1988-1991) in a row!! and never took fewer than 49% of your teams total shots for an ENTIRE CAREER. Jordan may have been the best player on his team, like Kobe has been since about 2000-01, but he never ever took over 60% of the teams TOTAL SHOTS....NEVER. Jordan was more of a hallhog, every stat proves it. Stil great, but a ballhog.

Even if Jordan pushed off sometimes, when he was playing defense he got pushed off too. the calls didnt only went Jordan's way. And he drove hard to the rim and got fouled even harder. he didnt got any cheap free throws because of a handcheck or a touch foul. And jordan is better than Kobe in all categories except for 3pt. well that is an opinion you stated. Facts are Shaq has 3 finals MVP when they were both on the same team. So Shaq was the better player. No one could stop Shaq 1v1 and even with double teams he had monster nights with points, rebounds, blocks and assits. SHaq also took less shots than Kobe but got more ppg than him during those years

SHaq was the main guy during the 3peat and during all of his career on the Lakers. He didnt only score but his presence brought double teams everytime he touched the ball. Shaq was by far the best player on the lakers during the 3 peat. No question about it. Do you even watch Jordan? He was unstoppable. You had 12 guys and a coach vs Michael Jordan, trying to stop him. That's all they had to do to get the Bulls to lose. The champ lakers had a higher win % with Kobe injured yet MJ's team lost without him.

By the way, Kobe's finals stats are equal to Jordan's wizards stats. He's 40% from the field in the finals, that's ghastly. 21% game winning shots, real clutch Kobe. A lot of players like Hakeem, Wilt, MJ contend for greatest player of all time, but Kobe isn't even close to any of these guys. Win 8 more scoring titles, 5 MVPs, 3 more 'chips, 6 more finals MVPs, a DPOY, we'll talk. Kobe could score 40 ppg PER PLAYOFF GAME for his ENTIRE CAREER and still wouldn't match Jordan's playoff average.

Look at Kobe's Shots per game and notice even those season he was NOT shooting as much as Jordan did. Jordan LED THE LEAGUE IN SHOTS PER GAME 10 TIMES!!!! Kobe only led the NBA 3 TIMES in Shots Attempted, and 3 times in Shots made as well. Jordan was more of a ballhog than Kobe, by far. MJ attempted over 1900 shots 4 times and Kobe only once. And Kobe is better from 3pt land, since day one. Stop hating if you can't back it up, hater. Jordan only averaged .7 APG more than Kobe has til now.

The problem with your argument is that you list only shot attempts, and not the percentage of those attempts that are made. Jordan made a much higher percentage of his shots than Kobe does, so why shouldn't he shoot more? Kobe has never even finished a season over 47% shooting, Jordan shot over 51% in 6 different seasons, that's nearly half of his career. MJ can go on fire and dominate a team that is basically trying to break his bones with fouls and end up with more attempts than Kobe's bricks.

Yeah, but the problem with that is that if you take into account the fact that Kobe has attempted almost 2000 more 3ptrs and STILL has a better 3pt% than Jordan did for his career, it is pretty obvious that Jordan's range was limited more than Kobe's and therefore he shot closer to the basket and a higher percentage. Still, for his career Jordan's eFG% (effective FG%) was only 50.9% (32.7% 3p with only 581/1778 3pt) while Kobe's is 48.6% for his career ( with 1086/3192 3ptm 34.0%).

In fact, taking into account everything, which is what the eFG% does, Kobe only finished once with a season below 47% (1997-98 at 46.9%). But Jordan's fadeaway, while deadly, was not as deadly from as far out as Kobe's and Kobe's all around offensive game IS better than Jordan's. He only averages .7APG fewer than Jordan and this is without a season where Jordan amazing averaged 8 APG. Take away that one season, which was an aberration and Jordan's APG is lower than Kobe's, too.

It is also easy to shoot ove r50% when you never venture outside of 20 Ft for the first half of your career and you take OVER 60% of tour TEAMS' FGAs 4 times (1988-1991) in a row!! and never took fewer than 49% of your teams total shots for an ENTIRE CAREER. Jordan may have been the best player on his team, like Kobe has been since about 2000-01, but he never ever took over 60% of the teams TOTAL SHOTS....NEVER. Jordan was more of a hallhog, every stat proves it. Stil great, but a ballhog.

Sorry, I meant that Kobe never took that many of his team's shots, no matter how much a ballhog he may seem to be, Kobe never took more than 60% of his team's shots in ANY season, as Jordan did for 4 STRAIGHT YEARS. Kobe's game is more diverse BECAUSE he can hit the three at any time, but that does not mean that Jordan was not a great midrange-to-near the rim player. He just never ever had the jumpshot that Kobe has now.

You think that it's easier to shoot over 50% the MORE shots you take? That's ridiculous. Do you know how much Jordan was punished for going into the lane? It's nothing like today's game. Look at Lebron James drive to the basket today, easy. Nobody really contests him for fear of foul calls. Watch Jordan drive to the lane, he'd have two guys fouling him excessively, the only reason they wouldn't is because they think he'll make it anwyay. The more shots you take, the better you are defended.

I love this stupid Kobe argument, "he takes shots from further away so he's better." making more difficult shots doesn't make you better, making more of the shots you take makes you better. Find one player outside of Shaq who thinks that Kobe was not an OVERALL better player than Shaq from about 2000-01 towards their breakup in 03-04. Kobe was a better overall player, period. And I NEVER said Kobe was a better scorer. I said he was a better shooter and a more complete offensive player for much longer in his career tan Jordan. Jordan never had a consistent jumper for more than half his career. Anyone who says otherwise is a not being truthful.

Well gee, the NBA, since Shaq won finals MVP every fucking time. Kobe shot 40% in the finals. He was a fucking cancer to the team and they were only 3% worse in terms of win percentage with him gone. Jordan had an average jumpshot in his rookie year and in about 3 years it became excellent. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't seen any 1988-1998 jordan games. Where you shoot from is irrelevant. Michael scores more points and makes more of the shots he takes. Shot difficulty is IRRELEVANT.

MJ did have good squads but so did kobe... in fact in the 3 championships that Kobe won Shaq... the most dominate player in the league at the time won the MVP and in all 6 of MJs he, MJ, was the MVP and best player on his team. No, jordan didn't fade as often as Kobe does...he had a straight jump that he used to get over people...kobe fades more often than not when taking a range shot, jordan simply jumped higher than the guard could and shot over him...they have very different playing styles and if you cant see that, then maybe you should think before you talk...hmm?
