I HAVE 2 HITACHI TVS, 4 YEARS OLD AND IT BROKE!!! THE FUNNY PART? THEY NO LONGER MAKE THE PARTS TO REPAIR IT. DON'T EVER BUY A HITACHI. IS JUST GARBAGE.
can anyone answer this? I have a 1080p HDTV 47inch and I want to get a 23inch asus 1080p monitor will they both have the same picture or will the tv be a lot clearer? I'd rather use the tv anyway but I wanted to know if the monitor would be better? I use by comp for playin crysis and mw2
someone answer plz: I'm planning to buy a 42" 1024×768 HDR TV and play games on that, instead of my 1440×900 19" monitor. So i'm curious if my 42"'s dispay will be actually less detailed compered to my 19" monitor, and if it"s only magnifying the picture. I'm so confused.
if u got a hd graphic card in yr comp it will be fine im building a gaming pc at the moment and im going to run it on my 50" LG that is in my other video that is linked to this video so yea if u get a good hd graphic card and connect it to yr hd tv it should be good
@MARV361theSTAR if you want to play games on it make sure it has below 8ms response time! It's very important! Also 1024x768 on 42" will look really bad! For a 42" tv to look good you need atleast 1920x1080 (for gaming)
2 dvi running 1920x1980 picture is perfect, the problem? it has 1 hdmi, now i decided go bigger and more hmi,so bought a toshiba 42 inch,1080p 4 hdmi and vga no dvi :( big mistake vga only gives you 1280x1024 and the picture sucks. so i try my laptop hdmi to hdmi and it refuses to give me 1920x1080 i get 1834x i forgot, DVI is the best way to go for your pc. so the monitor is going back to the store. shame gorgouse monitor 42ZV650U Regza shame.
yea i own a 50" LG TV with the LG CINEMA SYSTEM which is great for the bluray movies ill be making a new video soon THANKS FR ALL THE GREAT COMMENTS AND HOPE U ALL ENJOY YR OWN TV SETUP THANKS AGAIN
i used to have my 32'' sharp as my monitor although it's not 1080 on 720 so i use a 23'' 1080 now works alot better for hd like blueray if any one want to see it i have a video of me talking about my nikon l100 on my channel and it has it hooked up :)
Thats pretty sweet, I just got a Toshiba 40" 1080P 120HZ HD LCD and I paired it with my 22" HD Gateway LCD. Its friggin amazing! Is your tv 1080P or 720P/1080i?Also how many HZ is the refresh rate?
i dont know too much about pcs but my video card has only one vga slot (is that the one for the cable with the blue ends that you attach your monitor or tv too?) lol, much appreciated
Im also using tv out with a standard tv with wireless mouse & keyboard but i find it cumbersome zooming in & out to read text, instead of permanently changing text & font sizes.
Are you using your hdtv as a permanent monitor?
Did you have to alter the text size to clearly view you browser on your hdtv?
i'd be tempted to do that but then you couldn't watch the tv and use the pc at the same time. and youd have to use the keyboard on your lap which wouldn't be too comfortable. rather just use a laptop
are small letter nice and sharp and the picture? i have a 22 inch and im gonna get a 32-37 in tv for christmas so i can get rid of this big old tube tv.
just 2 tell all the people that have been watchin this video. its been a long time now since i put this video on utube. i have a new tv now a 50" LG and its 100 times better.
did you use svideo or hdmi? if your card has a dvi port they make dvi-hdmi adapters. my 4870 came with one and was thinking about doing this. if your using svideo its 1080i and people say 480p looks better. go with the hdmi for full blown 1080p
I have heard that, although it is possible to utilize the TV as a PC monitor, it would be detrimental to perform stationary, still tasks on the TV, due to the possibility of burning the TV screen. For gaming, I supppose that it would be alright; but, for a trading plaform, consisting of charts and graphs and office work, I would have my doubts; especially, if it were to be on for a few hours at a time. Please respond regarding this. What is your opinion?
I did with with my nvidia 7800gtx and my 42 inch sharp aquos with a hdmi adapter and I can send 1080p from my pc to my tv but the text is so small! So i just keep it at 1300 or something like that.
1080p hd? hmm.. that's wierd cuz you told me that the text doesnt appear to be good. i just received the westinghouse 37" 1080p and i feed a dvi signal from my pc. everything looks peurfect :P this is sooo much better than my 19" monitor.
cool (yes mine is all good but at first had 2 play with settings on pc so u happy with your tv good yes will be much better than monitor ( u sould put vid on utube ill look out for it )

You don't need to use your PC and....and watch TV at the same time...
It is a waste not to use an HDTV as a monitor...

could it be that im using supervideo? instead of hdmi or VGA???
If My tv has VGA does it look in better quality than supervideo?
rocknica 3 years ago
If your HDTV has noise reduction filtering/signal processing, turn it off or it will be hard to read the text.
