After selecting a song, hit Enter (Or your Start key) for more configurations. The speed is one of the first things you can change. 1x, 1.5x, 2x, etc.

Saying that this simfile was harder than shown on the vid, it turned out that I'd played on speed 1.

And I didn't know that you could change the speed back then xD

I doubt it. As long as you can run the game and see the arrows, then it should run smoothly. I've ran Stepmania on my old, old, old Win98 computer and it ran fine (although it took a long time to load up).

If anything, you could lower the resolution and other graphical options to help run the game better.

The only reason why it lagged a bit during the video was due to Fraps crapping out at random times. It's a slap the face basically.

It might be the same song, but most likely different authors. This is the simfile that I made and the only difficulty it has is Heavy. Even then it isn't really that hard.

The folder 'Songs/[Todd (Kanatake)] Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - You' contains music files.

This means that you have a music outside of a song folder.

All song folders must reside in a group folder. For example, 'Songs/DDR 4th Mix/B4U'.

See the StepMania readme for more info.

Basically, make another folder within the Songs folder, and put the simfile in there.

I.E.

The standard theme for Stepmania 4.0 CVS. The noteskins, I downloaded from...I believe the bemanistyle forums; either there or the stepmania forums.
