Song Of The South has never been banned in the USA. The NAACP did mildly criticize the film when it premiered in 1946. Since 1946 then they have not made any statements about it at all, one way or the other. The decision not to issue it for home viewing was made solely by the conservative and privately-held Disney Corp.
