  • I hate this glitch. I never get the 8 eyes and when I do I end up doing something wrong, like not having my items set up or one time I picked the wrong character and THEN 8 eye showed up. Also, they don't really stay paralyzed I did it once and I had one paralyzed for only a few seconds but I think I might have had my battle on Active. So frustrating. Can't wait to finish.

  • Hey, how did you got that counter materia?

    Thx in advance.. xD

  • @Dioguh94

well, it is been a while since i played the game, however it is always easy to Google it. sorry for not being helpful.

  • I mean materia

  • Where do I get the W-item maretina from?

  • @AznBlade23 i know its been 10 months now but if you still dont know you can get it when you go to midgar after Hojo (disc 2) when you're in the train tunnels you come all the way down and you will find it near a save point

  • Can this be done on PS3?

  • @YouHaveNoTruth

It can be done on any system!

    regards

  • why is the animation so choppy?

  • @goeb16

    well, I don't really know? :)

  • equip the w-item materia on the character you want to use, also equip the Counter==Morph on connected slots

when facing the 8 eyes, paralyze or sleep one of them, then before the other one attacks you use the one item (potion) in the sample movie, and wait till the 8 eye perform his attack, your character will counter with the morph command and the 8 eye will be morphed to a magic source, the item will end up in the used (potion) place and simply you can do the w-item trick to obtain 99 of them.

  • Too bad there isn't a way to do this with Power or Spirit Sources. Although using Battle Tanks in Midgar works pretty well for Power Sources.

  • @JoltsD

There are monsters in Nibelheim that appear in groups and can be morphed into power sources (they are the ones that have morning stars). Look it up.

As for spirit sources, it can be done by having the little thiefs in midgar steal them from you, kill them, and do the same process as is shown here. Look at video called

'W-item trick steal method' or something like that. It takes a while, because you can't control what they steal (-> lots of resetting). Cheers

  • @ginestramarcos

I'll check into that Nibelheim thing. As for the thief trick, I've seen it. It's too random, and it'd be easier to just do it the hard way. I've seen a trick where you can morph the Serpent with the disc tray open and proceed to duplicate the item, then close the tray when you're done to end the battle, but that doesn't work with the PSOne Classics off of PSN. Oh well.

  • @JoltsD

    They're called "Screamers".

Also, you can't control what they steal, but you can definitely control what's in your inventory. Get rid of most of your items (even megalixirs, they are replaceable) and most of your equipment (keep only ultimate weapons and exceptional growth weapons). I managed to have only 5 stealable items (= sellable items) which means that you have a 20% chance of them stealing it. Took me 5 hrs to get 255 spirit for everyone. I should make a video of this.
