I know exactly what you mean by that annoying noise that hampsters make when chewing on bars. I have a Chinchilla and that bone head keeps me up at night sometimes cuz he will sit there and drag his teeth back and forth on the bars for hours.. I've contemplated on putting my chinchilla outside also but haven't yet lol.
