@TheDabovich....im sorry my friend that was just british humour...no such thing as a gangle pin..me and my brother once convinced a guy that dish washing soap was better that oil as it makes your engine cleaner inside..we nearly cried when he bought 4 litres lol...my TL has about 59k total too..never done valve shims..started gettin a backfire when u drop the throttle..was the rear exhaust gasket near the rear shock..common fault..was sucking air in..tyre pressure is very important on TLs
@hebay2 yeah I had to replace that gasket as well. Once I pulled it out I could see why.. nothing much left of it. It was a quick cheap fix that had me worried for a while. :)
@hebay2 i rarely use gaskets.Been riding all seasons for over 30 years.always do own mechanics..i use a decent quality silicon in a gun...seems to last longer..i also stick acetone in my fuel..2ml per litre and use iridium plugs..extra bhp and surprising mpg if you ride under 3k rpm..type vonhypermiler into YouTube..tells u how it works..lots of comments on it..ive tried it on 4 vehicles..petrol and diesel..increases fuel octane.talk of damage from those too scared to try..works a treat
FYI - my threads on the oil drain plug stripped on me as well... (at only 5k miles!) the only fix I came up with was to drill it out, and tap it... hasn't leaked since..
Great Vid, very informative, Thanxs...

@hebay2 I must know this 'gangle pin' as something else. Please describe. Just done 55,000km since this vid and the motor is still going strong.
Cheers :)
