I'm so glad Morrison had enough respect for the song to include the controversial "be thou my battle shield" verse. Even though there are some who sing this song better then him, he sings it from the heart and has the courage to sing the whole song, that's what makes this version amazing, oh and that he's Van Morrison that doesn't hurt either
