  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • browsing around it looks like this was recorded in '79

  • réscucite chéri!

  • I wish Joy division had started as a punkband in 76, and went on in the 80's with Ian still alive

  • ian i love you!!!

  • i wish ian was still with us.

  • @HelterSkelter085 We all do, mate

  • what a band , what a song , the essence of punk,

  • "The lights shine an unearthly glow"

Distorted guitar sounds great...with the drums of course.

  • i love this raw version of interzone , rather than the one produced afterward , with ian overdubbing himself through out the track. This version seems to have more authority to it... if ya dig

  • Sounds like Velvet Underground-sister ray

  • sounds like n f porter keep on keeping on more like ;) search it

  • thats where they got the guitar lick from.the producer wanted them to do it that way

  • Actually the producer wanted them to cover "keep on" its on the JD documentary.

  • love this song!!!! low fi-post punk-pure rock n roll

  • Some nice riffing as well. Indeed.

  • Love the production on this track!!

  • great song x

  • tell me what you think about my band playing this song

  • Do Ian or Hook sing in this version?

  • Ian

  • its ian except he sounds like he's 17

  • I think this is my favorite song off all time.

  • been listening to Warsaw/Joy Division for a while today...haven't listened to these tunes in years... really brings me back!! Amazing.

  • Please check out NF Porter - Keep on Keeping on (Northern Soul) as mentioned in the documentary DVD 'Joy Division' Interzone was produced on the basis of this old Northern soul sound ! and that is fact !!

  • Maybe if they hadn't fed him so much alcohol he might not have been so depressed.

  • it goes alot deeper then that, but he wasnt a acoholic, he did hjave mood swing, when they where comming back from there first gig in london, ian had a mood swing and started punched steve and then had a fit. but only tony wilson knew why ian killed himself...and tony took it too his grave

  • wow is that true??? only tony knew?

  • yeah only tony really knew the reason why he did it...but never said a word.

  • it must have been a very sensitive reason if he told nobody

  • what do you know eh ?

    explain ?

  • explain what

  • how the fuck do you know tony took it to the grave you dick.

    fools like you know nothing

just read up on it then comment

    fool

  • because he said it in a interview you fuckin idiot, because i actully read about this shit and watch the interviews, so i know what im talking about, unlike fuckin faggots like you who think they know everything and have a ago at people because u think there wrong, you fuckin piss flap

  • ive seen all the footage and the interviews and yet he told no one and took it to the grave you sap for believing that and if you wanna get personal let me me know dickhead

  • he told knoiw one why ian killed himself you fuckin twat, he talked about ian, they asked him why he killed him self, and said he didnt want to tell them and never will, cock nut, now fuck off, your just some priock whothinks he's right and has a go at someone else becaue you think there wrong, grow up and grow some balls you complete fuckin yogurt

  • everyone knows that tony wilson is the ONLY person that knows or knew the REAL reason why ian killed himself

  • hahahahaha ...right.

  • and he brought it with him to the grave as well...so we'll never know now!!

  • is there actually anyway to buy this album in ht legal way?

  • you can buy the album , its simply titled warsaw, you can get it off most online dealers

  • yeah I want to have the album in my hands and add it to all my original Joy Division ones... but I guess this is just impossible to find here in Spain.. thanks anyway

  • just perfect.

  • timeless...

  • JUST AMAZING !

  • ive only heard a couple of warsaw songs, and already i love it.

  • apparantly they got ian drunk on whisky whilst recording this, and tried to persuade him to sound like james brown lol

Which is why there are all these wild whoops and noises lol

  • @Machismo1983 there are very similar noises on the album version as well, just pushed back in the mix a little bit more

  • @fuckamericanidiot noises, you say? like a GITAR, perhaps? Dang!

  • Love this song

I think the live version is prettty awesome too!

  • The Warsaw album destroys "Unknown Pleasures" on sheer intensity alone. Go on, Joy Division dorks--piss all over me for saying that. But first, listen to the Warsaw album, if you can find it. Yep, JD were a first-rate punk band before Martin Hannett turned them into angst-ridden drama-rama types.

  • the only warsaw songs are (warsaw, leaders of men, failures, and their best song no love lost)

  • Way better than the Unknown Pleasures version!

  • 1st time I've heard this, one of my favorite tracks from U P, and I have to say I agree with you.

  • This version is the RCA session and it sounds more raw, but I slightly prefer the Unknown Pleasure version.

  • the second vocal made this song for me

  • naiiyak ako

  • fucking rocking song (got balls)

  • Haha yea
