  • Come on, learned pole vaulting in 2 weeks and my second meet I cleared 9' 6" and I am 14 and 5' 8" tall. :D

  • wow he is a failer i lured it in 2 weeks i volt a a 6 ft and i am getting higher

  • i tried pole vault for the first time today. its pretty hard. but i got over 6'6'' :)

  • Wow every time I watch this I realize how much of a piece of shit you are.

  • It helps when you keep your arms straight when planting it...

  • It probably helps if you're athletic.

  • Me too except I had a four step and got 8 foot flat

  • its not that hard,. i vaulted 7'6" with a 6 step on my second day!

  • k nevermind the first minute and fifteen seconds are gay

  • Haha im sorry but the first ten seconds of this video is so ghetto(:

  • In soviet Russia, pole lands on you

  • @PreciseArrow1 in my American town, Pole lands on ME lots of times...

  • I think it is funny that he was giving you a "tap".

  • its not that hard. i had a good coach that knew polevault i jump about 8' in 7th grade wehn i got to highschool i had a coach that only learn from videos so....he like changed everything i keept messing up after that soo..lol it got harder D:

  • was that a joke

  • i am just learning to pole vault!! its pretty hard but fun!!

  • that was terrible but ive seen worse lol

  • Am i missing something? How is running distance related to pole vaulting?

  • i came out half way through my track season last year as my first year of vaulting and i got 10'. its really not that hard. just need a good coach or someone that knows what they are doing to show you. my coach was an all american. ha

  • if i were you i go for it. just make sure you have passion for it. Good luck

  • lol im a sophmore and im doing track next year and i wanna do pole vaulting but idk what i should do

  • its definitely something worth trying, you just have to stick with it. even if you don't turn out to be a 10footer, its still fun even if u only get to like 7

  • HAHAHA he vaulted on the wrong side of the pole. That's pretty much how I looked my first few attempts.

  • jesus its not that hard that kid is just not athletic

  • It's pretty hard..

  • no you just suck :(

  • ... sorry you feel that way.. I don't :( good try though.

  • if you think its than you hust havent practiced enough...that mean u suck

  • UGGGGG i figured out what i was doing wrong but i still wont be able to compete in my meet cuz i have to clear 9'6 and iv only goten to practice twice

  • Learning to vault is actually easy after your first few vaults it gets to be like your second insctinct at first you worry but soon you just forget and it just becomes second nature. So don't worry you will get the hang of it I'm no time I swear

  • i start pole vault tomorrow :O i'm scared if i'm not good at it i'm going to have to do long distance

  • owch, i'd be much more scared of long distance than pole vault haha

  • yeah i did long distance :( the highest i could go was 7 feet a good height is 9 i'll try again next year I'll be prepared then i know what to work on

  • i run distance and can get 10 foot as an 8th grader

    :)

  • No, lol by now you're probably clearing over 6'6 if your a girl or 7'6 if your a guy? Pole vaulting is so much fun once you get good at it :]

  • omg am i going to be like that when i start in march??

  • hahahaha i love watching beginners vault

  • i learned to pole vault today in practice and i cleared 8 feet. this week im gonna compete in my county JV meet and hopefully varsity if i qualify. (its 9 feet to qualify)

  • and how old r u???

  • 15. im a sophomore (going into junior year) and pretty young for my grade

  • oh Okay i am 11 and i can jump 2.5m high on my second training session

  • hahahahahaha

  • hes holding thepole wrong

  • lol...i high jump around 6 feet. but yeah i know you guys are kidding right? o.O hope you get it??

  • all you guys are awesome that cleared something...

    Get a life...

Go practice some more so you can tell us meaningful...

  • lmao. great filmiing when they show the bar, and then zoom out to show it's only at like 6 ft lmao.

and the jump was so bad that it didnt ev en make it to the bar. lol. i know your just kidding and stuff. hope u learned how.

  • My highest jump is 8'6" and i've been doing it for one season of track and field... my season is still not over. but i have a video of me pole vualting if u want to see it, it's at (watch?v=q3xvV1YTxk0) Just copy that after youtube(dot)com lol i cant give a url...

O yah and pole vaulting rocks.

  • I have had 6-7 practice days for pole vaulting and my first meet is tomorrow and the highest I have cleared is 7' 6". Using the 135 pole. Nervous and anxious lol.

  • people need to upload more clips like this. I prefer funnier stuff myself, check out dolphinhump. lostfrog . com , I laughed so hard I got kicked out of class! haha.

  • yea but he said he cleared 6 ft on his first jump... thats pretty fucking incredible... which is unreasonable... but enev if you did clear six feet it will still take like 5 years before your good regardless... haha

  • lol i remember when i vaulted first time... and if you cleared 6 your first time then you have a natural ability to make it to the olympics in one year because its almost impossible to do that... on your first jump... its been so long since i struggled like that its funny to look at someone else go through it hahaha

  • so you're saying you made it to the olympics in one year? or just that clearing six feet first vault means you're destined for big time? haha. first of all, six feet is nothing unless you're like twelve, second of all, polevaulting takes time. doesn't matter who you are.

  • lol that might have been one of the funniest things i have ever seen! my first time vaulting ever i cleared 6ft

  • oh I see that makes sence dont worrier about not going high my first time i only wint 6feet

  • Yea its hard but 2 46 mins anit gona teach you much , (next time try to get higher then a high jumper)

  • This may seem difficult to understand, but I did it for more that 2 minutes and 46 seconds. I was actually there for a whole morning, but the piece was edited down to just under 3 minutes.

  • yup, it's pretty hard
