I remember laughing so hard when I saw that on TV. Montoya clearly was as good as it got when it came to passing, even though he overdid it occasionally. On the other hand, pulling off a prank like that at the time wouldn't have been possible with any other engine than the BMW. 50-80hp more give you some breathing room, even against a Ferrari. Right engine for the right driver.

If they were both same age, Nico would, unfortunately, be matched or beaten even in qualifying. Still, Nico is about the most underrated driver in F1 today. He's a BRILLIANT driver and so is Michael. In his first decade, MS did lots of dirty things, but since ~2001, he's OK and getting better and better. Jenson used to be OK, now he's pure class as well. I hope Lewis improves.

Montoya was a fantastic driver, don't get me wrong. But he was undisciplined and had the completely wrong attitude for a racing driver.
That is what seperates him from people such as Senna and Schumacher. He had raw pace, but nothing else to match it.

Im sorry, but you are the joke. Personally I hate schumacher, but he was way way better than montoya. Theyre not even in the same league. Yes montoya is fast at times, but most of the time hes not.

I don't hate schumy he has been a good driver but he could win only in the F1 swindle.Montoya is statistically the best,No other driver at the present day has won as him all the most important races in so many different car competition fields. Sorry,watch carefully,the only way agaist Montoya has been the dirty joke of ferrari-Sauber-Fia-Judges

please. Montoya didn't win championships by taking out his competitors. almost twice schumi did that. And If anybody challenged him for a position or looked fast he would block them like no tommorow. usually ending up in damage or the other car damaged. At least Montoya raced fairly and he had as good a racecraft as michael, dare I say. Montoya raced hard in a williams challenging the best of the best and didn't look for cheap shots. that's all I'm saying

If you watch a video with commentary you will find out that Schumi's Ferrari didn't have any grip at the moment and therefore no speed.
As the commentators say, Schumi's Ferrari's tires weren't on temperature yet at this point of time in the race. So even Monti manages to overtake him.

F1 is a politic power game. When Montoya clearly showed to be better than Schumy the game started,It's very easy to win when you have Barrichello working for you (what a shame),when you have the blu Ferrari(Sauber) working for you (what a shame) and when you have Fia-Judges working for you(disgusting). Schumy was good but.give those "facility" to any other good driver and he surely 'll be WC .Montoya had all this "against" so his job in F1 has been simply extraordinary,

Just people should watch the video monza 2003 hightlight to probably understand why people watching carefully things are sure that Montoya is very much better than Schumy.And,be clear ,monza 2003 it is just an example.Schumy was a good very good driver but Montoya is very much better and against him the only way has been the dirty joke

That´s the true KR didn´t challenge MS like in the way JPM did-relentless,just wacth how JPM overtake TWO cars at the famous Eau Rouge,now that rise a Q,had anyone done that before?!,or did-pass MS like JPM did during his short stay in F1?! who was ask to redisigne the bus stop that year?!. If you do a research you´ll find that was a double slap to MS.So base on that alone a doubt very much KR was ever better than JPM.

Perhaps i miss the "blinding passes" of KR whiles he was at Mclaren.Please even then JPM showed a much better performace on his first year at Mclaren than KR, who was well stablished by then.I guess by your "comment" it´s easy the transition to one team-CAR, to another,and driving an F1 whiles recovering from a broken shoulder doesn´t mean pain . Jerez 97 schumi got penalized and lost all his points, australia 95 schumi had his racing line no case there, Monaco 06 schumi parked the car and got dropped to back of the grid, more cases?
