By the way, over 1500 Australians died defending Malaysia during world war II and they had the highest death count per capita of any country in that battle because they didn`t try to retreat as much as the other troops defending Malaysia. Australian troops also defended Malaysia in 1948 against the communists and in the 1960`s when the President of Indonesia Sukarno threatened to "crush Malaysia" if you did not give them Sarawak and Sabah.
