  • Not a fan of the hat Windows Vista? Really? XD

  • HELP CHRIS !!!

My fujitsu lifebook S series laptop is experiencing system fan error ON start up. What settings should i change at the system set up????

  • When it comes to Computers, Chris is very helpful.

  • i like sevral ansewrs at i time

  • i think longer videos are better.. probably 30-40 minutes.

  • ok but i would like to see longer videos thanks chris Jack

  • Hello lockergnome

  • the longer videos are better

  • one video one question. I prefer to watch several short video's than one long most of the time.

  • The error on the fan may be caused by dust, i had the same problem on my sony vaio. i found that dust built up in my fan.

  • Do you think this is a video blog or what? Upload some better videos! It's boring to watch a video for one hour, like it was a very, very long video blog...

  • 1 question per video! I don't want to wait through 30 min to find a question that may or may not be anwsered. 1 video per question will help people find what they need. =)

  • hey chris! i think several questions in one video is a better idea as it gives the feel of a tv show.

  • 30 minutes would be long enough.

Screen/filter those questions, ranking them by importance and/or relevancy!

  • 30 minute episodes are ideal!

  • 2-3 questions per video, 10-20 minutes for each video.

  • one at a time is my choice

  • I'm easy (but 51mins is too much!)

  • I say both. Answer a few questions in 4-6 minutes per so you have a 30 minute video. But please post them as single answers as well.

  • Shorter videos is the way to go.

  • I like 30 minute episodes! :)

  • I say do a half an hour show all the time just like a tv show. And answer as many questions as you can in that half hour :D great show

  • 30 minute episodes are ideal

  • Definitly one or 2 at a time.

  • I like the several questions in one video like before--I also agree that 30 minutes is a good time amount.

  • You should talk with your fans on Stickam, although i have to warn you that it is highly addictive and causes people to go crazy from lack of sleep.

  • My vote's for several questions at once. I agree that 30 minutes seems about right.

  • I say do several questions in one video just like you did before.

  • Chris thank for the reply! Before I got the "fan error" thing, one day I noticed that the fan became very noisy. and afterward I got fan errors once in a while. Perhaps dabbuhl is right, maybe the fan is dirty? I don't think it's especially hot. Or maybe I didn't notice what normal heat is like....

Thanks for everyone who tried answering my questions too. I actually got an email, a very long email answering my fan error question. You guys are so sweet!

  • I had a similar problem with my Laptop (although I using a desktop to write this with is new). The Laptop is 9 years old but still running like new. I found that when placed on certain surfaces the fan becomes noisy and the machine turns off in a few minutes and then its difficult to put back on. I found that placing the laptop a few inches off the surface allows the fan and components to cool better....i now can keep it on all day and never have any problems with it.

  • Hello Chris

One at a time makes sense, it will make it easier to find that answer later

  • one by one is perfect! this was amazing..

  • I actually have been using a Kodak DX 7590 digital camera for my vlogging. It works really well, and very portable. Webcams, while they are hooked up simply, dont have the resolution as a digital camera does. I suggest you use a camera, and then transfer to your pc. The picture will be super sharp, and it will only add about 5 mins to your process.

  • More questions answered on one video is the best solution. Otherwise, it doesn't feel like the TV show of past.

  • While it is easier to make these five minute shows, I find it more entertaining to cover multiple topics in one cohesive 30 minute block. You definitely have the skills to keep things entertaining and informational for 30 min.

  • More questions in each video - 30 minutes seems about right.

  • hey, I want a hat like yours! But I think Microsoft's shop don't send items to Latin America (Chile, exactly). That's sad. About the number of questions per video, I think you can group a number of questios with short answers in a long video. Then once in a while do a video with only one question that requires a more detailed solution.

Thanks for making these useful funny videos and sorry for my english :)

oh, and your new webcam definitively shots with better video quality than your laptop ;)

  • Sounds like the Flux capacitor.

  • You're moving from vista BACK to XP? or did you say that wrong? I am still debating about getting vista.

  • Check to see if the fan is moving. Perhaps the fan is dirty and not working to the correct speed. Does the laptop feel hot? Look in the bios to see if there is a area about halting on error and you may find that you can bypass the error. It really sounds like your fan bearings are not turning very well whith the first boot and the computer thinks that it is not working but after a few boots, the fan gets upto the correct speed. Fix the fan or you may over heat.

    dabbuhl

  • a bunch in one video

makes it seem more like a tv show :)

  • Probably the main fans cable (the fan speed) is unplugged, thats why you get the fan erorr,

.The computer does not receive the signal from the fan.
