    Sometimes, fried rice noodle is used to get crunchyness and I also add sometimes, ground roasted peanut in my chinese recipes to get nutier flavor in background.

    You can make even day before but fry befor serving or half fry them and referigerate and next day fry fully before serving. But if you are making on same day, they are at their best...it doesn't take lot of your time if you are making not too big batch but anyhow it will work for you...enjoy! I wish you will have the greatest birthday of your daughter..

    Or another thing you can do is fry them fully and then make them crunchy in the oven at lowest heat before serving.

    I have a doubt. If we want to reheat spring rolls/samosa , do we need to heat them up in a conventional oven? Coz once I did it in a microwave and that spoiled the taste.

    To get crnuchiness of pastry warp, you have to use oven to reheat. If you reheat in microwave, it will get soggy...

    I bought rice noodles from indian grocers and beans sprouts from walmart or local produce stores. if you can't find fresh beans sprout, they also come in can which available where chinese sauces and stuff kept in walmart...enjoy!

  • one thing everyone making these for the first time needs to know: after frying, and the spring rolls have been drained of excess oil, they are still EXTREMELY HOT inside!

    so just be sure to let them rest for about another 5 minutes, and then enjoy!!

    You can use any chinese sauce, I buy special that is available at most supermarkets in the usa and specially used with spring rolls and it says spring roll dipping sauce on it. But you can use any of your favorite. Enjoy!

  • @SuperVeggieDelight They got bought at the super market , I love the outside casing , and i love the carrot + over Veggie's in there , But something took to my dislike and I'm not sure what , it may of been a sauce? i find that alot thought , in packaged food in store's , They leave nasty bit's of residue and random bit's in meal's , I find it so disgusting!

  • Whenever I make egg rolls, I use that same pastry, and I take a cooking brush and put egg on it, and it works fine to keep hold.
