Karie Jobe lives the life of Jesus in her heart and you can see her glowing from the inside out by the presence of the Holy Spirit! I agree 100% with kari. We are Gods children! The one thing he wants so much for us is to be close to him and be there with us in all aspects of our life! We need to get to the point that even if there was no heaven or hell, we should love GOD for who is. As far as I am concerned, HE is my best-friend. If he was not best friends in the BIBLE then why did he let some1 lay against his chest. Only a father who loved and be-friended his kids would do that. It's all in how ya look at it.
I have to disagree with you there Brother/Sister. It IS both (Romans 6:23) You attempt to diminish the overall awesomeness of God if you deny His mercy. Because there definately IS Heaven and there definately IS hell. You cannot seperate grace from mercy, so I consider them yet another reason to love the Lord all the more!
Apparently we have a minor misunderstanding. I know in fact there is a heaven and a hell :).All I was stating is that I would love GOD even if He had never made either. He has been so good to me, how could I not love HIM with my all. I completely understand that we all must realize ther actually IS a heaven and a hell. I was not dismissing any of them, nor the mercy of GOD. :)

I have a Dad, but we hange out because we are friends. Think about it, there are plenty of people who have parents who they dislike, or are not friends with, thus the reason for not speaking to each other. I do beleive even a certain man in the BIBLE said he was a friend of GOD.

Jesus does not and did not have "best friends" when he was here on earth. on another note....he more importantly died on the cross so we could enter heaven and have a relationship with the lord. he's the perfect dad. And he's the one he saves us from the lake of fire. Read the book of revelations.
on the first note - who do you think Jesus is talking about in John 19:26? I wouldn't leave my mother with someone I didn't know pretty well.
on the second note - don't get me wrong, I'm pretty dang excited that he died on the cross for us. I enjoy swimming, but not so much in a lake of fire. but at the same time, I'm all about being friends with my dad.

@violamann05 Jesus is the Friend that sticks closer than a brother and Who loves at all times and was born for adversity (Prov. 18:24, 17:17). He proved this by laying down His life for those He now calls friends which He said was the greatest act and proof of Love (Jn. 15:13-15). Greater levels of intimacy require more personal time; therefore Jesus had different levels of intimacy when he walked the earth as a man. Peter, James and John were his closer 3, of the 12 of the 70 of the 120. :)

Now that Jesus is back in heaven making intercession for the saints and preparing a place for us, He left us His Holy Spirit to live within and take up residency in every Believer, so now he doesn't have the limitations of being in a human body (as Jesus) and can spend 24/7/365 with every Believer. Now, the only thing that limits our intimacy with Him is our desire and the choice(s) we make to that end. :)
@violamann05 He shows no partiality or favoritism and wants to be everyone's Best Friend, and now via His Holy Spirit, He can be everyone's Best Friend as far as it depends upon them... Hallelujah and Amen! :)

It say's clearly...that John leaned into His bosom as they were reclining at dinner... and that Jesus took the three closest to Him up the mountain as He was transfigured before them... Yes, His death on the cross is tantamount..it is the greatest story and work for mankind's redemption from death. Nevertheless, He also showed us how to love..He is Love.
@violamann05 He called John "the beloved." Peter, James, and John were his inner circle. He needed to be with them over the others. And he needed to be with the rest of the disciples more than the regular church attender. They were the committed ones, as much as possible without the Holy Spirit. After they received the Holy Spirit they were even more committed and set themselves apart.
